The nib unit of the new ASC Studio fountain pen

Ugh, the feed looks like a Chinese Jinhao. So if the steel nib is also from China it's not good for Omas heir.

Is the pattern on the nib embossing or laser engraving? How much is the new one ASC with steel nib now?

@pomperopero , thanks for sharing.

Yes, they do look like chinese Jinhao. But Jinhao feeds provide a wet ink flow.
In my humble opinion, these ABS feeds perform as well as the Jinhao ones.

The nib looks laser engraved.

I paid 170Euros for this model.

Kind regards.

Thanks. As Athos said (from The Three Musketeers): "this is a much for Athos(Jinhao), but too little for the comte de La Fère(OMAS)" :)

(By the way, I tried to click on your link but my security software would not let me proceed, and gave me this message: This server could not prove that it is lenskiy.org; its security certificate is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

I tried it with a couple of different links on this page and they all gave the same result.)

I found out what was the reason for this behavior: after the replacement of the site engine in November and the update, the server unsupporting show the images with address like http://, so all links were replaced to https://. But if the server-host does not support this format (like my site on WordPress), then the browser will get a "secure connection error". Now I am working to fixing all the link to my site, and this takes time. Anyway you can change in link string https to http and all will be work fine:)

Great job!

Do I understand correctly that this is a new Tibaldi from a modern, not expensive series? Is it cartridge\converter system? Do I understand correctly that this is an ebonite feed? What are your impressions of the pen?

Thanks for your kind words. I really apreciate them.

This is the relaunched Tibaldi. The N60 model comes with a cartridge/converter filling system and ebonite feeder.

In my hands I feel it like I'm writing with an expensive pen. Good quality finishes and well-made. There are no sharp bits, gaps, or rough seams. It's bigger in size than what I expected.

The feeder seems to have a wide channel, but it provides less ink than what is espected for an ebonite feed. This is the sencond Tibaldi pen I test with the same ink-flow. I wish it was wetter writer, but that's because I adore juicy nibs.

Despite this, I recomend it. In my humble opinion, the price is worth it.

Hope you will find my opinion useful.

Thank you for such a detailed answer. Before the new year, I looked at the new Tibaldi collection, but overlooked the ebonite feed. This feed looks like a Montegrappa's feed.
