Great comparison scan!

Diamine Orange might be what you're looking after. It is an in-your-face orange that makes you awake and happy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at some online swatches of Cd'A Saffron and Diamine Orange just now. They make Diamine Orange look bright and consistent in color while Saffron looks a tad softer with good shading. Is that accurate?

Yes, the Cd'A Saffron is probably a little more yellow and has excellent shading.

I really like Noodler's Habannero. I nice orange with a hint of brown. Stands out but easy on the eyes.

Inked:

Pelikan m205 black 0.9ci/F Italifine (Diamine Damson);

Aurora 88 nikargenta (Iroshizuku Kon-Peki);

Pelikan 140 Steno (J Herbin Lie de Thé)

Thanks for the suggestions. Both C d'A Saffron and Diamine Orange would be good additions to my collection. The former sounds like a good replacement for Noodler's Apache Sunset when faster drying time is important. The latter would be perfect when only a brilliant orange will do.

Dang. That means two more inks go on my list or better yet a little ink trading might be in order. Hmmm........

+1 for Diamine Orange. (But you've got a great line-up there, Margana.)

Thanks. They are mostly samples but hold enough ink to create some orange-y goodness. :)

On the subject of orangerie, I found that link of 3 orange comparison.

I was looking for a perfumed ink and found the orange scent of ambre de birmanie parfumé orange - Orange Scented Amber Ink

I like the idea of a summer scent before entering the winter.

Should receive it soon - hopefully..
