I put my wet pens in a vacuum sealer. I don't bag them, they just go for a ride in the chamber. Two trips to space is usually enough to dry them out for refilling.

Something to think about:  If there's any hardness (minerals dissolved) in the water, it gets left behind when you evaporate the water away, even if the evaporation is via cold vacuum.  Centrifuging removes the minerals with the water.

That is a good point. Fortunately my tap water is super soft, so I'm not too worried. I've never had to descale anything.
