Definitely not Mr. Pen Nut!!!

It's nice that he thought of making the pen a filligree overlaid one though! But just thinking about the pain, just makes my eyes water!!! :yikes:

Actually yes ! It looks like you are correct. I always thought it was a Yard O Led but that picture seems to have it bang on.

I'm pleased to say, that I managed to miss the rain showers yesterday, and took the Fairy design overlays up to Uncle Lionel's, to get them Silver-soldered! Hopefully they should be ready before the end of the week, when I go down to the West Country, and I can leave them with Graham, and he will make up the 'base-pens' for them.

I've just heard on the news, that a brooch, once worn by 'Bonny Prince Charley' has sold at auction, for the 'princely' sum of £600,000, not bad for a brooch!!! Amazing!

What do Henry and I have in common? Well, we're both born in the same year. We both have an affinity for Art Nouveau. We're both somewhat old fashioned. We're both a bit meticulous about things. The result of that is... the Corsini-Simpole hard rubber overlay pen series. (That's my name. There's already been some discussion on that issue earlier in the thread).

So here's the first look.

This lady is quite pleased, I 'spect.

What stunning pens - very you.....both of you! I have to say the black is my favourite too - but I wouldn't turn up my nose at the Coral either...........do they come in pairs??? :notworthy1:

Like GP it would be nice to know dimensions etc without touching on the delicate subject of price here.............natch!!!!

Congratulations all around...........who needs a Bonny Prince Charlie brooch when we can have these? :cloud9:

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Dimensions: Closed 5 11/16", Posted about 7 1/2", Cap diameter about 5/8", Barrel diameter about 9/16".

Filling system: a few piston fillers using high quality German units, others will be button fillers. The piston pens are quite heavy compared to the button fillers... about 1.7oz vs 1oz.

Nibs: Half the pens will be available through Henry and he'll be using his Boch nibs (as far as I know). The other half will be available through me and I prefer to stick vintage nibs in (to be worked out with buyers).

Materials: All are hard rubber... black and two shades of red. There are limits to how many of each color. There will be about 20 pens totally.

The first batch (two of each color) are nearly finished. The rest (at least those through me) will be configured to order.

And one more little tidbit... the pens are hallmarked for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. A nice little touch Henry added.

Black piston-filler with a broad nib that I'd get ground to a CI or O. cloud9.gif

I do find some abbreviations difficult. I can't tell you the hours I pondered IIRC and had to admit defeat and ask someone. I thought as a crossword buff I would have little difficulty. How wrong was I.
