Has Anyone Heard Of Henry Simpole?

Warm Fussies, 'in the fridge?' :yikes:

Don't you realise the danger of that? Warm Fussies have to be nurtured in a 'room temperature' environment, and encouraged to remain 'calm' during the whole procedure! Trust me, I 'know' what I am talking about! Warm Fussies have been known to have formed 'escape committees' within a few hours of refrigeration!!! :yikes: The consequences are beyond belief! [And this topic isn't???!!!]

The 'La Danse' overlay is now finished, and I am as pleased with the result as I am with the 'Risquee Lady', [i do think that that name is wrong somehow!]

The Fed-X parcel did eventually turn up, at 5,15pm yesterday, [i suppose I ought to be grateful that my 'house arrest' over the last few days has allowed me to get on with this latest creation,] and the nice man from the Fed-X office phoned me at about 5.30pm to confirm that everything was OK, [wasn't that good of him?] It turns out that the package was returned to their main centre in Menphis, and then had to be sent back here in the UK again! :headsmack:  'Stranger than fiction!!!'

Now, where did I leave my utility belt?

Oh Henry! Oh Neal! She is exquisite and wonderfully displayed. I should say that some may find holding her a bit erotic....

See what I was telling you about those 'Warm Fussies'?

This Risquee Lady has definitely got a chronic case of them! She probably put them in the refrigerator under the misguided belief that they would not be able to do their mischief!!! :blink But now we know that that is not the case, don't we? :hmm1:

I think there is someone doing things with a 'comfy chair' in the next room!

I'd better go!!! ;)

Guess what I received in the post today? :sick

A bill from the Customs and Excise department for £76.42!!!

I telephoned them at Fed-X, only to be told that if I was VAT registered, I could claim back the £10 that was included in the charge, but that is not available to me as I'm not VAT registered!!!

The very pleasant lady then told me that Fed-X could query the charge on my behalf, although she felt that it would be very unlikely that it would have a positive result, and there would be a charge of £50 for administration costs, so they [Customs and excise] have got it all wrapped up one way or another! :(

It's a bit like I feel when I geta parking ticket, I've learnt that I'm better off just phoning them and charging it to a credit card as soon as I get home, and not thinking about it anymore.

See y'awll!!!

Oh dear!!! Henry..........Fedex will deliver fast (although in your case you could sue them for inept and in and out ) service, but also do the customs thing at the border and you get the bill later!

They don't dodge the bullet..........they won't let you mislead with low declarations - they are, like the UK Government - in it for the money Honey!!!

You could split the difference with Fedex, as you didn't get the fast delivery - charge them for phone calls, loss of your professional time while you hung about at home waiting for their delivery - for how many days??? You could also split the difference - if Fedex don't swallow the charges - with Bruno!

You may tell me to keep my nose out - but I am older than you and with that five years comes some tiny bits of information.............one being this fact about Fedex - and until now - useless information.

Get a pillow and punch it.............. don't let it do any harm - you could sit Fedex - mentally that is - on the naughty chair and deny them Warm Fuzzies for ever and a day...........but don't let it get to you.

I'm just back from Portobello, it has been quite a busy trading day, and lots of Warm Fussies flying around, :blush  lots of people admiring and asking questions about my overlaid pens  so lots of pamphlets were taken away, which is good!

No Chris, I don't think it would be worth arguing with either Fed-X, or the Customs people, they have got it all worked out, things like, "it should have been marked as being component parts, that will be shipped back to UK, then they would be exempt!" Year! I bet they would! No, It's not worth the hassle, it's just like parking tickets, you're better off coming home, paying the fine by bankers card, and forgetting about it, life is just too short to get all uptight over these things! I think!!!

Anyway, the 'Risquee vLady' was well received by all who I showed her to. :hmm1: And that 'made my day!' :vbg:

See Y'awll!

Seems as though you and Bruno both need personal assistants to tend to those droll details. It would be worth the hassle to me just to be a very sore thorn in their sides. But then, to each his/her own, as they say.

Ok, so I'm looking at the 'Risquee Lady' and the word/name 'Sensuelle' popped in my head. Is that even a word? So I google it and sure enough it is. There's a French lingerie line in addition to many other uses of it for 'sensual' things. She is quite sensual to me. Just a thought. :eureka:

Yep! I reckon you've hit the nail on the proverbial head there Esterbex!

'The Sensual lady' it is then, all in agreement? Say 'aye!' :yikes:

{Nobody says a word!]

'I think that all must be at the Pen Show in St, Lytham!'

"Well, I for one think it's a good name!!!" "You know, it being sensual and all that stuff!"

So, that's about settled then is it? Can I hear an echo in here, it must be the lack of people! S'funny, 'cos I saw that there were 4 guests on here just this morning, but they never say anything....... very strange, are we that intimidating?

See Yaw'll

I'm in the Eastern time zone, so with daylight savings time currently active it's GMT/UTC -4:00.
