Patricia reminds me of the Waterman Lady Patricia. I'm okay with Patsy, but Patty--please no!!! (No offense to most people named Patty. I have negative personal associations.)

I quite like the name Iris. It goes along with the natural/plant theme of Myrtle and Jasmin(e). Iris is also an interesting mythological (Greek) figure; she is a messenger of the gods, which I tend to associate with writing and poetry (communication).

Patricia, Patsy, and Patty. No problem! :bunny01: :roflmho:

Eddie: Sweetie what are you drinking?

Patsy: Oh this? Chanel No. 5.

Hmmm....that's hinky. Patricia does like Chanel No. 5.

Is there a chance of making this pen in Chanel pink? :cloud9:

In a word, dear... no. But then you already knew that

I'll make a suggestion... "Heath". It not only carries the plant theme that reprieve brought up, but also Heath made overlays for the early pens that this was modeled after. It's not a woman's name though... or could it be?

:roflmho: Just thought I'd throw that out there in case there was some special issue rod from back in the day. Coco was all that, you know.

Heath....is that related to heather in any way?

I rather like the idea of the name Heather. As Bruno has pointed out, Heath did the overlays for most of the major pen manufacturers in the early 1900's

Heather is a lovely name for a pen!

Just a thought, 'Patricia' [if you look it up!] means:- 'Of noble birth'!

Patricia also has a special significance to me as well.

I like Patricia very much, and understand the special meaning for Henry.........and I also love Heather too! I will happily call it whatever is decided - if I can have one please? Better put me down on the wish-list as a certainty............I do have one of Bruno's pens, the PENguin - which is quite different but beautiful if you like Emperor Penguins..........which I do of course!!!

Henry, since Patricia is near and dear, why not make a new design with her in mind at the outset? Let this Heath-inspired pen be "Heather" and do Pat the justice of envisioning what you see when you think of her. She is much more intricate than a droplet pattern, don't you think? She created wonderful ripples in your life's stream, much more than a droplet ever could. But then, what do I know? I'm just throwing stuff out there.

Besides, you'll want another project to keep you busy once these Onotos and Simpinis are done....soon, right? :roflmho:

Pardon me for butting in here, Wendi...

Chris, a Simpini is the inverse of a Corpole. Does that clear it up?

Brilliance is an attribute I've never been noted for, but I'm pleased that you can see my perspective.

Simpole + Corsini = Simpini?

Remember that call from a bar somewhere one morning with probable intoxicateds blathering incoherently? Well.... :headsmack:

So, after all this overwhelming response to the question:- "What are we going to call this pen?"

Are we all agreed that it will be referred to as "That 'joint-effort' pen, made by, Bruno Corsini, and that Truffle Finder guy, what's his name? Henro Simpini or something like that!" :hmm1:

I don't know about anybody else, but I think that 'Simpini' sounds too much like a type of Italian Pasta! And similarly, 'Corpole' sounds like a type of industrial disinfectant!

So can I assume that everyone who has kindly contributed to this discussion approves of the name 'Patricia'? :headsmack:

"Have I said something wrong?"

"What do you mean, 'we need to take a vote!'"

Ok! I'll shut up! If anyone wants me, I'll be down the bottom of the garden, eating worms!!!

Well I think that Simpini sounds more like a model of Fiat car. Or perhaps a magician... or a personalized Zamboni.

While my first choice would be Heather for reasons mentioned above, I have no problem acquiescing to Patricia. For me, I'll just refer to the pen as "my pen with Henry's overlay". But the fact that Henry holds the pen in the esteem to want to call it Patricia is good enough for me. So my vote is
