Time for a few more before going home....Bad weather on the way....again!

His Nibs showing off his "pension scheme".....some very tasty pens of which I got nary a pic! :crybaby: . Salivating are Ariel Zuniga (dark shirt), Bruno Corsini (seated) and another gentleman whose name I didn't obtain, but who spent quite a bit of time drooling! :puddle:

Henry giving the story of his penchant for pens....overlays particularly. Dave Wright (pink shirt) brought his exquisite Blue Chatterley to visit with its creator. :cloud9:

Severe weather approaching....going to seek cover. More later.

The other gentleman in the first image is Kyotaka from Japan, we did enjoy seeing some special pens from Henry and talked about it long time...

I am absolutely smitten by these works of art. I wish that there were a way for me to come close to affording one of Mr. Simpole's pieces. Bravo Mr. Simpole.

Start saving. I sold a bundle of pens to pay for mine, but it was worth it.

I am jealous of you all, having never attended a pen show. Out here in the hinterlands, I've barely been inside a pen store! :crybaby:

Pass the Saphir.

I wonder if a travelling show could be organised and routed your way. . . . :eureka:

These are the last of what I have....about 5 or 6 images are missing for some reason....:crybaby:

Joel Hamilton's smiling face is one of the best things to look forward to at the major shows....

fpn_1321203714__img_0651.jpg

One of my favourite faces....Ariel Zuniga....perusing the wares.:cloud9:

fpn_1321203788__img_0649.jpg

The wares Ariel was perusing belonged to Henry's good friend Ralph Stillwell in the hat, and another gentleman that Henry thought someone called "Guido", but whose true identity I did not ascertain....

Those fabulous Byler Boys straight out of the heart of Arkansas....Gosh they are just so friggin' awesome! :bunny01:

fpn_1321203977__img_0647.jpg

And the largest and my absolute most favourite Simpole of all with me and Peter (around my neck)

fpn_1321635081__img_0644.jpg

And that's all I have. Sorry if I didn't satisfy any pen candy fantasies. But I really enjoyed that show and all of the people I met. Kudos to the Mawhorter team for pulling off another stunner. :clap1:

ETA: A big thanks to Neal Laver for facilitating these pics to post. He is heinously underpaid! :notworthy1:

Well, I'm back from Cornwall, just a quick visit, mainly business, [and a Dental appointment!]

Bruno, if you are reading this, the Droplet pattern Overlays have been cast, [i picked them up yesterday BTW] so with a bit of luck, you should receive the first ones before Christmas.

How's the RHR coming along?

Happy Thanksgiving, for those across the pond!!!

Henry, the RHR was supposed to be delivered today, but it's not looking promising for that. Should be soon though.

For now, just enjoying the Turkey weekend.

Just in case you are reading this 'Bruno', I spent much of this last weekend, finishing the Droplet pattern Overlays, they still need polishing, but other than that last-stage, they are virtually ready to be Assay-marked.

I hope that you have got "all your ducks in a row", 'coz I'm about ready to go!!!

I trust you enjoyed the turkey!

Well, Henry, the hard rubber arrived yesterday. I'm ready to get started... just need to get some final sizing from the new castings. I'll chat with you soon... probably Thursday. Then it's off we go!

I've been thinking!!!

Has anyone thought about a name for this 'joint effort' pen? :eureka:

I haven't spoken to Bruno for a little while, and for all I know, he may well have thought about a name for it, at first I was thinking about a combination of our two names, but somehow the names Henry and Bruno don't exactly slip off the tongue!

So if anybody is in a creative frame of mind, and can think of an appropriate name for the pen please let us know! There are no prizes BTW, but it might be helpful to have people's ideas.

While writing this, I'm inclined to go for a lady's name, 'Patricia' sounds nice, and has some significance to me personally, but I am open to suggestions.

Hi Henry...............and everyone else of course!

I am feeling more like sitting at my desk today, having fought a flu-like illness for the last couple of weeks.

I like 'Patricia' as a name for the latest pen collaboration..........although 'Ho-Bro' sort of made me giggle a bit..........painfully too as my ribs hurt from continual coughing. Please just see the funny side of my brain flickering back into gear.........and read no more into it! :roflmho:

My Onoto Overlay now has a new nib/feed unit, thanks to Henry and Onoto and Oxonion who did the regrind of the fine into a cursive italic.............and let's not forget Royal Mail either, only two weeks to ship Registered from London is not too bad.............although the majority of that time was spent inside Australia.............:crybaby: :headsmack: !

Now I wait for decent handwriting to return..........shaking scribble is not a good look!

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

Yesterday at my regular spot at Portobello, a very nice 'couple' turned up to see me, and browse over some of my stock of pens. [i'm really sorry, but I can't remember your names, but I think I did mention that I'm really bad on names!] They were visiting UK, from Washington [i believe!] and were familiar with this thread, and after he had chosen a couple of broad/italic nibbed pens to take back to the USA, they took a photograph of the booth [and me with a silly expression on my face!] which hopefully will appear here in the next few days.

It turned out to be a very busy day at the market, almost a constant flow of 'pen-orientated' people, plus a few repairs were dropped off, and to cap it all, someone bought one of my overlaid pens, so needless to say I went home a very happy bunny yesterday! :bunny01:

I was offered quite a few vintage pens too, and bought all that was on offer! [sometimes money just burns a hole in my pocket!]

Well, now I've got lots to do today, [mainly the finishing of the Onoto overlays, and after that the repairs of the pens that I bought yesterday!]

See y'awll!!

I'm kinda partial to Patricia as well. But if you're going with three colours, you could have three different names, but that could be a bit much to come up with.
