Beautiful! Congrats to all who have these in their sights! :cloud9:

What pen body has Henry used? :puddle:

Absolutely gorgeous! Henry's work is 'eye candy'.

This pen is a Henry Simpole exclusive --- in other words, Henry has made this pen from scratch (base pen and overlay).

Kind regards,

Mary Burke

Couldn't agree more Mary. They also write in a heavenly way - the only way to describe it is "writing with a work of art".

I have visited Henry a few times in the last week or so and I have seen and handled Bryant's pens. There are superb and as always the photos just do not do them justice.

For what it's worth, I think it's a wonderful set of beautiful images of a lovely pen!

For those who might be interested, not only is Henry doing the London Pen Show on the 3rd October [at Kensington Town Hall], but it will be quite a busy week for him, as he has been accepted to exhibit at the Goldsmith's Hall, from the 5th till the 10th October, it is the second time he will be showing his fountain pens at this prestigious event.

What are YOUR favourite Henry Simpole bespoke o/lay designs?

Mine are the Violin and the Ant pens.

Apart from the five Simpole pens I have - and the one due to join them - thanks again GP - I love the first, the Snake, and one he refused to discuss - the Mermaid..........if I could have a bespoke pen I would like two actually, one featuring an Octopus, and the other Bluebells.

Me fussy? You bet!

BTW, Mary, how did you circumnavigate Neal's copywrite? :yikes:

You're welcome. Aside from the incoming, I have a vermeil version of the CS Centenary and the green Chatterley Simpole. So the Spirit of Life will be my third.

I had the pleasure to be at Henry's stand at Portobello today, and he was fairly busy most of the time, showing customers his selection of vintage pens, as well as his own overlayed pens.

One of the people who stopped, to pick up a card, was a lady from Canada. Henry asked her if she had heard of the Fountain Pen Network, it turned out that she had, and went on from time to time, and then she almost jumped back when she realised that it was Henry Simpole who she was talking to!!! :roflmho:

They then got into quite a conversation about his O/lay pens, she seemed to be a little sad that she would not be able to attend the London Pen Show next Sunday [3rd October, Kensington Town Hall. Quick plug!]

Despite the conspiracy theorists, I think you will find that he is dead! He's not just having a 'lay-down', or pining for the FFiords, he is an X-'King of Rock!'

Sorry to be the bringer of bad tidings!!!

But Henry is a real live celebrity and you can still find him :notworthy1:

Better start getting those pen designs in people before he gets backed up with new orders and designs. :bunny01:
