I will be in London twice this summer: June 26 and July 10, both days are Saturdays. I'd love to see Henry and his pens there. I am not sure on what day yet. What is the best way to do it?

Hi RitaCarbon! All I know is that every Saturday Henry is "The Pen Man" in Portobello Road Markets - has a booth in an arcade - but I don't have the exact address. Maybe someone else can give more details - or you could leave him a message on his website........ www.henrysimpole.com and ask him.

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

I just had a look at his website and found this.............

Alternatively, you can find Henry at his pen booth in the Admiral Vernon Arcade, Portobello Road, London, every Saturday throughout the year.

How I envy you visiting him there!

Thanks, Chris! I'll do that.

I still love that Ants pen...

I've just got back from the bottom of the garden! To find that the 'counter' of the 'views' is working again!!! Great news seeing as I've developed a disliking of worms.even the big fat ones are pretty awful!

Thank you FPN, all is forgiven.

I can do you a nice deal on crickets if you've still got a hankering for exotic protein... bunny01.gif

For my protein, I like eggs, you know...embarrassed_smile.gif

How I wish I could draw on here..........I'd draw a wall with a 'wally' looking over the top with just his nose on the top - and his two hands.,............and he'd be asking - "where's George?" but I can't, so I won't :bonk: but will this do?

Now back to my new slow cooker.........and a recipe for poppy seed cake - no, not in the slow cooker!!!:hmm1:

Is that the cause of spots before my eyes???? No, not eating too many poppy seeds - not yet!

I do wonder where George is though - anyone got any ideas??? :eureka:

Now, if you want a really big earthworm, come to my home state, Victoria. Plenty of protein in that. though would need a rather large BBQ skewer.....

Snack, anyone? And don't forget the toasted sugar ants and wichetty grubs.

Hey, grubs aren't bad. Ever tried sprinkling them with crab boil? Or ground Italian seasoning like you put in olive oil for bread dipping?

Good grief! Henry has to make an earthworm pen. A variation of his Snake...

That's extraordinary, Miranda. I didn't know that such things even exist...

I've just come back from the bottom of the garden, [b'in eatin' worms again!] I'm depressed because George hasn't posted any pictures yet!

Back to the garden again!!!

Keep digging. There's no telling what treasures you might find there besides worms.

Back vaguely on topic, while the dream pen is in progress, I've been slowly tinkering with some alternate ideas. Might have to commission a Simpole a year.
