Has Anyone Heard Of Henry Simpole?

It certainly seems it was meant to be, given the improbability of the occurrences and how many people decided they wanted one.

It is such a lovely pen, and I enjoyed reading about how it "branched out" and called to so many people. We really are many, many leaves on the same tree, aren't we?

In other news, I think I've got my HS pen ideas narrowed down. It's either a dancing Romany lady (as homage to my love of dance, and a loving nod to a branch of my ancestry), or an interpretation of whatever tarot card calls to me the most strongly when the time comes (as a professional reader and someone who has had a lifelong interest in the cards.)

This is very true, and it's an excellent card for abundance!

My birth card is "Strength", so I might go with that, though. A little reminder of sorts.

I swing between the Queen of Swords and the High Priestess, so I totally get a certain card feeling right.

As soon as I get home from work (in about a half hour) wake up from a much-needed nap, I will find you pictures. I'll just go with the standard Rider-Waites...you don't want to know how many other decks I currently have. :yikes:

Okay, I'm cheating with the help of Google Images, but it's actually pretty neat to see so many interpretations of each image--seeing what elements the artists find changeable, what elements remain the same throughout. (Also, as I may have mentioned before to someone, the method for posting pics on here tends to be a little meshuggener, and let me tell you I have had a day today.)

That said, may I present the Ace of Cups, Strength, the Queen of Swords, and The High Priestess.

I was going to fix your link for Swords, but the silly pad thing won't let me copy the link properly. Sigh...

Shimmershadow!

'Crack' would have been the optimum word that you could have used to describe the situation!

I will have two options with regards to getting the nib fixed, but the section of the pen is "deceased, died, gone to meet it's maker! It's not pinin' for the fiords!!!"

So now I'm making inquiries as to whether I can get the right colour Red Hard Rubber, and get someone to make a replica of it! it might sound difficult, but there must be a way to get round the problem.

Well, if you could find an Onxy Patrician with a good section and ruined barrel...?

No, I don't have such a pen, nor do I know of anyone who does.

Try Fountainbel

He has been making several versions of his Bulkfiller with Hard Rubber, and he may still have some small pieces lying around....

Many thanks for telling me about that RMN.

At the moment I am waiting to see what will be arriving quite soon from another source.

I suspect that this restoration project is going to take a little while though!
