One of the most amazing things to have come out of this year's Pen Show in Little Rock, was the reaction of pen collectors, to my little Doll's House Watermans Pen. People were astonished when I showed it to them! It was photographed many times, and became something of a 'celebrity' pen during the time I was there. :P

For the time being though, it will be residing in my Pension Scheme case in the safe!

PS. I'm hoping that Neal will have received the memory chip from my camera, this morning, and hopefully he will be able to put some more images taken at the show, on this thread!

Now this pic set-up isn't quite fair....the hand belongs to a 6'6" giant of a man....makes the Dollhouse pen look like a toothpick or less in size.

The weather was kind to us this morning, and the tubes were working alright throughout the journey there and back to Portobello Road.

I was greeted by a gentleman from Singapore who had come to see me about an overlay that he commissioned me to make for him, also to collect a pen which I had repaired for him.

Just as he was leaving my booth, another gentleman came along to talk with me about fountain pens, he ended up buying two vintage pens from me, and presumably left my booth very happy!

I usually have a few interested people asking me about my overlaid pens on a Saturday, but today was quite extraordinary, in that there must have been 10 or more people asking me 'who made them'? and seemed very surprised when I told them that it was me!!!

A very satisfying day really!

Looking through a few of the many 'storage' boxes in my workshop yesterday, I came across another quite attractive cap and barrel overlay, it is a similar design to the last 'homeless pen' that I 'found' by accident a few months ago!

So now I will have to find a suitable sized 'base-pen' for it to go on, and then I will be able to put it into my 'stock'!

Happy days!!!! I wonder if there are any other 'treasures' lurking anywhere nearby?

OK Henry!!! We are now online with super-speed internet and I can use wi-fi for my laptop and Apple devices!!

I've just spent a long time reading pages of this thread - and drooling over photos of amazing pens..........like the Namiki-Dunhill design - :yikes: :puddle: :puddle: :puddle: :puddle:

and Marilyn has become a super star!!!! :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

Are there any more photos of the new design with the blank band? It looks lovely indeed!! I know I've probably missed a lot while we have been on the move or lacking internet, but I promise to catch up eventually.

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

Nice to see that you're back 'on board'!

I'm hoping that Neal might have some more photographs taken while the Little Rock Pen Show was on, and there might be one of the diagonal striped design with the extra decoration at either end of the stripe.

Pleased that you enjoyed reading through the last few pages of this thread Chris!

Somewhere on that camera disk may be a fuzzy pic or two of the new design.

So glad you have re-tethered yourself to the web. The ether has been a tad

drab without you!

Well here's a few more from Henry's visit but I'm sorry to say that the new design that you captured was indeed a fuzzy one..! Or two..! Henry will have to send it over to me along with the latest "Orphan" pen, I'll get a few pictures online afterwards.
