Well I'm pleased as punch to be one of those customers and to know that my beloved is winging its way home at last! :bunny01:

I have a new bed just waiting for it! :happycloud9:

Back from Portobello market, having experienced the 'planned engineering works' on the Underground, both on the outward and homeward journeys! :( :excl:

All in all, it was quite a brisk day's business, both newcomers, and familiar faces turned up to see me. I bought a few pens, which always pleases me, but thankfully not too expensive to purchase.

My recent success with the repairing of Dunhill Namiki Pens seems to have had some effect, as I was handed another one today, which has a very similar ['D' shaped piece missing from the mouth of the cap,] to the one which I repaired on Neal's pen, but that was not all! There are two hairline cracks leading from either side of the lever-slit! :yikes:

No prizes for guessing what I will be doing for tomorrow, and the next few days!

OMG that happens to me everytime I study! When you see colourful marks all over the page, its because my hand slipped and the nib just scrawls all over the page! Luckily I only use Lamy Safaris for underlining so I won't damage my nibs when I inevitably fall asleep!

Fountain pens are like weapons. They just make your pocket bleed so much.

Hi!

Neal has received a recent acquisition which I got at the London Pen Show, namely a Waterman's Patrician, in Torquoise pattern. He has already taken a few photographs of it, so hopefully he will be posting them on here shortly!

Beautiful!

Neal, I think I want you to shoot me too....your photos seem to enhance the subject no matter what it is!

Thank you for the compliment esterbex!

GP I confess to having dipped the Patrician... it had some flex, but it felt rather odd compared to many other pens. Despite the huge overall dimensions of the nib, those tiny tines didn't give a very desirable feedback, do you know what I mean...? For a big pen it felt very lightweight?

Congratulations Neal!!!

Colour me GREEN!

I have the black version of this mighty pen - fine nib with no real flex or spring either! The four Lady Patricias I have have much better nibs - in every way. Strange eh?

I'm eager to see the pics of Henry's latest repair - and other pics when the memory stick gets to you!

All quiet here, cool and overcast and perfect for writing or knitting!

Hope everyone is well and happy - GP???

Huge loving hugs all around!

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

The Spanish Inquisition, er, physical therapists are attacking me with decidedly uncomfy chairs...and tables...and exercise bikes....and stretchy bands of assorted symbolic colors.

Other than that, I have a Centenary with a BB nib that hasn't been out of the pen case for awhile, so I may ink it next when the Ancoras are done playing. :bunny01:

@GP...Which version of the Centenary are you putting to the whip?

Hahaha! They're all Grand to me!

Here's an FPN review of that pen done before the Truffle graced these hallowed ether halls....

And a pic from that glowing post....What a beauty!
