Found him!

I had been meaning to post a "Where is Henry Simpole" on the First Stop, since that's where I always found him.

Portobello...ah, lucky Londoners!!

So Henry's memory card has arrived and here's a few highlights that were captured on it.

Henry will add more information, but I know that this is Henry with Heather at Clouds House...

I vote we mug Chris and divvy her pens between us. :ninja:

Hmmmm....Would you be satisfied with her just letting us play with them for a spell and having a mug of tea?

I vote we visit her next year and get our fill....hmmmm?

Hi Everyone!!!

I have to congratulate Neal and Henry for getting some photos posted.......and thank Henry for letting me play with all those pens!! Yep! they were his babies - mine had been shown and put away - and we were having fun in one of the dining rooms late at night - such fun!!! :yikes:

Of course now I'm home I can show you pens to make you drool.........but much better if you visit and try them for yourselves. :lticaptd:

I vote Heather the winner in every way - at least she is smiling - whilst I am trying to get FPN on my iPad to show Himself how easy it is to post photos for himself!!!! :wallbash: :bunny01: :gaah:

Portobello has certainly come up trumps lately!!! Well done Sir! :notworthy1:

Very interesting to see the Portobello inner sanctum! Hopefully when Henry calls into this thread next time he might have a moment to tell me about the pen this chap is holding. Looks a little smaller than the average creation? :)

Me thinks that to be the Parker Duofold International half-overlay he did for Battersea Pen Home....but the Truffle will verify... B)

I love mine!!! I was a Parker snob before I bought this......only enjoying vintage Parkers, but I bought The Acanthus Leaf from Simon of Battersea Pens Home and have a fine italic nib that is superb! Thanks for reminding me about it!

My Duofold doesn't have an overlay, but now I'm thinking I want a juicy broad italic.....Truffle....do you know anyone who might want to trade

sections with me?

Yes Esterbex, you've got it in one! International sized Duofold with half overlay in silver.

Sadly the gentleman who enquired about 50 of them [on Saturday] has decided that the price that I quoted was more than he was was hoping, so I'm afraid that bit of business has gone cold!

Still, hopefully there are plenty more fish in the sea!

You know what they say, one door closes, and another one slams and hits you in the face!

No, it's an attempt at humour!

The man from Onoto rang me today to tell me that at long last the 50 base-pens have been machined, and molested with care, and are ready to be shipped to me, to get them made up ready for sale!

So that should keep me busy for the next few days.

I'm giving another talk to a local society in Ilford tomorrow afternoon, so seeing as it will coincide with my usual shopping trip, I will have to be up and cracking earlier than usual.

Truffle Finder. :)
