I missed it.....even though Ray got our computer in the bedroom to stream that station....I was snoring!

I have just tried to listen to it on my iPad but it doesn't suit BBC gizmos apparently! :crybaby:

I will go down to my PC and see if it works there! Nil Desperandum!!!

Well darling girl! You've got 7 days worth of chances to hear it at some point, so don't despair.

I like that they archive it for those who couldn't tune in "live". clap1.gif

Hi Bruno,

I'm flattered that you took the trouble to tune in to listen to the show on the wireless yesterday. I'm pleased that you enjoyed it, despite the time in the morning!

S'funny, but I was under the impression that you came from the West Coast of the USA!...........................

Kalifornia eh? Is that anywhere near Kincinnatti?

Truffle Finder.

I was able to casually listen to the broadcast while enjoying my morning coffee... perfect timing.

Yes, I do live on the west coast, or "left coast" as it's often called. Fact is, a five minute walk west from here will land me in the Pacific Ocean. [i stop at 4:59, though.] Kalifornia is sort of like calling it the left coast. I think, though, that Kleveland would be a better comparison(based only on pronunciation).

Yes, she's full of prattle of a sort....but such is the nature of talk show hosts these days.... think the time limitation and three heads to pick might have caused an urge to use the cattle prod....roflmho.gif

I'm surprised that so many people went to so much trouble to listen to the radio broadcast, from Arkansas, to Tasmania and even 'Kalifornia!'

[that's the one, that's on the 'left coast' of the USA! BTW!]

I seem to be up to my eyes in overlays at the moment, trying to fulfil a large order for one gentleman, [who is being very patient], and getting a couple of new designs for cap overlays, which I discovered in the safe a while ago, [i really ought to give the safe a spring-clean, you never know what else might be in there!] The trouble is, that when I go off down to my retreat down in Cornwall, I put things in there, that are just 'laying around' in the workshop, and when I get back home, I've obviously forgotten all about them! Anno Domini, I fear!

Then, I will have the unenviable job, of getting them all up to the Assay Office for Hall-Marking, and that involves so much form-filling, and I hate having to do it! Although, I'm quite lucky really, because they seem to 'know me' by now, and they rarely have to ring me to ask about things that need to be done!

Back to work!

Will work for pens. :eureka:

Good thinking 99!!!

Lovely to see you here again.....raising your head from all your hard work.....how is it going?

I would volunteer, of course, but somehow I don't think I can do that commute daily - :roflmho:

Hi my 63!

Yes, the box is doing fine, the tray is being used every Saturday, to display my O/laid pens, in the cabinet at Portobello, the box itself doesn't get used however, which is a shame really, but I don't have a reason to use it. That lovely red plush lining does show the pens off a lot better than the old display case that I used to use though!

It's a nice idea, Chris, having an assistant, to do the jobs that I'm not too keen on, but it does seem as though there is a logistical problem, regarding 'full-time' employment, certainly 'daily commuting' would be out of the question!

Ghost Plane! Nice to see you back here again. Any chances of some writing samples?

Finaled in the Beacon and Gateway to the Best. Nose down on the next manuscript while begnning to query. Have to get the taxes done, then time to work on my social media presence. Not to mention working with my accountant to set up accounting software so I can track what I'm spending on contests, conventions and marketing...

See, Henry? I know all the joys of small business! :bunny01:

Just back from Portobello, and despite the cold weather this morning, and the rain on the way back, it turned out to be quite a good day. I sold quite well, and one customer came to dispose of some of his pens, which he had decided that he didn't use anymore! Amongst those that he offered to me, were:- A French Watermans L'etalon, in blue, with a medium nib.

A French Waterman 'Racing Edition' which is in a box, shaped like a racing car, in bright red!

A " " Black F/P, and matching B/Point.

A Lamy Accent with a wood finish middle section.

They are all mint, in their original boxes, so they are destined to go into my unit in an Antiques Centre down in Plymouth!

I really don't know a lot about the original cost of these pens, but I liked them, and we came to a deal, including a part exchange for one of my vintage Conway Stewart pens.

Just as I was in the process of packing up to come home, a gentleman came up to the booth, and asked me about Parker 51's, he had a good browse over the ones that I have in stock, and eventually decided to go for a double-jewelled Blue one which rather surprised me, as it had appeared to me that the pen was an impulse buy!

Very nice!

Do any of your pens resemble these? Waterman has so many black lacquer pens that the set could be anything....`Elegance, Expert, Hemishpere....to name a few.

I don't have a single Lamy (I hear I've been missing out). And that Blue L'Etalon is quite lurvely!

And I'm always a sucker for a hot red racer....puddle.gif

Maybe you should bring these trifles to Little Rock, Truffle? rolleyes.gif
