Sorry Chris,

I'm afraid it's destined for my 'Pension Scheme' folder!

PS. The Onoto overlays are coming along nicely, I'm pleased to say!

Oh well! crybaby.gif Some pens are meant to support retired artists I guess. roflmho.gifI just had a mental cartoon picture of Henry on a 'bed of pens'!!!! lticaptd.gif

As to warm fuzzies, are they in any way related to the 'naughty chair'? bunny01.gif

Progress on the Onoto overlays yesterday was very good, I've got about another 5 or 6 to go now!

So, when I get back from shopping this afternoon, I will crack away at them. Hopefully I will be able to take a few with me to the Dallas Pen Show! Only a week to go now!

I've already packed all my 'Warm Fuzzy' detection gear, so thorough checks will commence soon after my arrival! :puddle:

It should be a good one!!!

hmm1.gif Wondering if the "gear" includes special bait with which to lure the W.F.'s from their secret hiding places..... drool.gif

bunny01.gifWow! Maybe there'll be opportunities to touch, fondle and photograph new Onoto overlays one last time before they are wed to their Magnas! wub.gif

'National Security' doesn't allow me to divulge the secret of the 'bait' that is used! But I can tell you, that it is absolutely irresistible to an unsuspecting Warm Fussy! ;)

My people have informed me that they are expecting that there will be plenty of fondling, touching and photography of the overlays, providing the usual standards of 'decency' are observed!

Hi there!

I sorry to admit that today up at my stand at Portobello, was a veritable disaster zone, monetarily that is!

I didn't sell a single pen, I bought very few that I was offered, but I met some very charming pen-people, so that kind of made up for the disappointment of the day!

Oh well, let's hope that next weekend in Dallas is a good one!

Monday in Kingston, Tasmania!!!!The postman delivered a package, and in that package were two pens from Bruno!

My Corpole Has Landed!!!! bunny01.gif bunny01.gifbunny01.gif bunny01.gif bunny01.gif

It is beautiful!!!!! Very traditional looking, dare I say vintage looking, and so lovely in my hand!Henry has made an amazing overlay - and Bruno has made an amazing pen! He indulged me too, and it is an eye dropper filler with a beautiful vintage big gold nib, Waterman Hundred Year Pen nib made in Canada, with FDW on it. Did I say I'm in Pen Heaven??? Did I - eh? Did I???

Now all I need is for my hands to stop trembling and I'll write a page or two with them. puddle.gifangry.gifclap1.gifcloud9.gifbunny01.gifwub.gif

Thank you Henry and Bruno, Bruno and Henry!!!! XXXXXX

It seems that no matter how confident one is about preparing to go on a trip abroad, suddenly, [like yesterday lunchtime!] questions like "Is my passport up to date?" [i think that it is, but it can put one off one's lunch!]

Also yesterday, I realised that I need to prepare some silver 'blanks', for me to 'demonstrate' on when I am at the Dallas Pen Show, I should think that they will take me a couple of hours to prepare, so I will have my work cut out today, to get them ready!

I'm so pleased Chris, to read how pleased you are, with your Bruno/Simpole pen is, now that it has arrived!

I must get on with my preparations!!!

After seeing Henry's wonderful work in person, it's always enthralling...

Now, about those SSSSnakes... I know enough to know that they could be several different pens, but I don't know enough to know which pens they are. So, which pens are they?

Thank you Tenney!

The Snakes are a mixed bag, and while some would know two or three, it would be wonderful if someone knew the lot - but to stop any brain straining - from the left they are

The amazing Henry Simpole Snake overlay LE with Cnway Stewart stock fine italic nib.

Conway Stewart 37 LE ED with italic medium nib AND a sterling silver ruby-eyed Snake clip made by Tom Westerich of www.penboard.de

MB Agatha Christie with factory B nib

Bruno Corsini Crescent Filler with vintage Wahls Evsharp flexi fine nib and Vermeil Snake clip.

Enjoy!

They did indeed! But it was so busy I didn't get that many pen pics, sorry. Others did though, so check the Dallas show thread to see if any show up. I'm about comatose, so a few before I pass out....

Mauricio was so kind to bring the magnifying lamp to Henry to use at the show....notworthy1.gif

FPN A.D.D.i.c.t Jared was such a beguiling newbie to the hobby. He scored a nice Lamy 2K and some nib work on current acquisitions....Very nice young man.
