Has Anyone Heard Of Henry Simpole?

Sort of an opposite of chaos theory and fractals?

Oh, be VERY careful asking me questions like that. I am likely to drone on and on about them. It is the reason my wife has learned to never ask me about fountain pens: my answer is deadly geeky.

I would argue that chaotic systems and fractals are both outputs created by the physics of the system's structure and the actions of the variables and agents in the system. One can get a chaotic output out of a complex system with simple rules being followed by agents. One can also get more predictable phenomenon. We often approach chaotic systems through complexity theory based models. It is just a non linear deterministic system. Hard to attack with a math based approach (see the three planet problem and Poincare). I am working on a choatic system that has fractility right now. We are using a complexity and agent based modeling approach that is proving very evvective in finding the phase transition points. (Don't tell the economists!)

I am waiting to see the Persian inspired design that Ghost Plane is working on. Also, I wonder if Henry will be willing to make another Ant overlay like Curioti's.

Oh, heck, I wouldn't mind if you asked Henry to duplicate it. Very flattering that anyone would even think of it. Of course, my initials are built into the design, so you would have to alter that unless they happen to be BV. I think that Henry would still have the drawings and therefore could easily duplicate it. Apparently that ant CAn move a rubber tree plant....

Except for those of us it's driving nuts as we hunt for the design!

I'll know it when I see it. :eureka:

Be positive GP - just think of the pleasure you will be experiencing from the day that you do :)

It takes a long time to get the right idea or theme. But don't feel that you have to create it exactly in your head. The reason God gave us artists is so that we mere mortals can bring a fuzzy idea to them and have it turned into the masterpiece we can't visualize. Run some ideas by henry. I started by searching google images for things that struck my fancy. I sent a bunch to Henry and the next thing I knew, he nailed my vision better than I could have imagined.

I spent about 7 years looking for what I wanted, but it did not exist. That is the beauty of a custom pen. You don't have to wait for someone else to produce exactly what you want. Trust in the muse!

Actually Henry came up with his usual brilliant solution, but now I'm back to waiting for my next chance at the Persian Diversion to try and get the next piece of the puzzle. :headsmack:

I cant afford one of Henry's bespoke pens, so, I will wait to see what Ghost Plane comes up with. I am intrigued by the Persian and/or the B'ahai inspired theme of the design she is working on.

I'm open to sharing the design [when it's finalized - which is driving me nuts trying to get my hands on the script I want :bonk: ] I'm more than willing to have him put it up here to see if other folks want one, too.

I don't care if it's exclusive. I just want my dream pen, done by Henry.

Thank you Truffle Finder, for your kind wishes............and 'wub' is the typed description behind the  or the :cloud9:

or maybe the :puddle:

GP - you can't rush a decision of this importance, so we all have to wait until The Persian Division gets done!!

I'm very sure Henry is busy with other pens............there is a strange rumour that another will be heading to Tassie any day!!!

I wonder how many of us will have a new Henry Simpole Pen this week????

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

That is quite a pen, he is getting pretty good isn't he?!!! I'm sure I will order a 'Bespoke' pen from him one day! I am lucky to have seen Soki's pen overlay as it was being made, and I know he has put a lot of love into it's production.

Merry Christmas Soki.

Thanks Truffle! If only you could see it in its entire glory!!! I think you meant to say "He's getting better, isn't he"?..... Henry has always been brilliant.

My pen arrived today and I just cannot take my eyes or paws off :))

Will post some photos soon (when I can prise it out of my paws long enough to hold a camera).

Thank you Henry, if you are reading this!!!!

Beautiful pen, Soki, a very special one. Congratulations ( the nib is calling me.....)

Thanks, Ondina! I really love it! However, all the credit should go to Henry.
