All colours but the Midnight are rather accurate at my monitor. The midnight is a little more full bodied and saturated

than the Sailor Jentle. The Mediterranean is a blue with a turquoise tinge and the turqouise is a turqouise with a blue streak.

The Royal blue is my blue favourite. Like a clear blue sky. The Imperial Purple is cool and is here partly as a reference. I find the

Florida Blue impeccable, but rather dull.

Thanks for posting! I'm a big fan of blue, and your review shows what a wonderful family blue is. Really like your handwriting and layout too. The review is a work in itself.

Beautifully done, dandelion! Thank you. I'm using Florida Blue right now and it's one I like enormously.

Happy to hear that my scan was appreciated - thanks for positive feedback. I wasn't a blue ink fan before, but I've come to be very fond of the beautiful blues.

Thanks for posting this, side-by-side comparisons as always the very best review. The clean, easy format of the review is a great plus. Blues are a indispensable.

Just thought of a good one: J. Herbin Bleu Myosotis (Forget-me-not Blue). It has a slight violet tinge, just a tinge, which gives it a very ethereal look. An added benefit is that it has worked well in any pen in which I used it, some of which can be fussy with other inks. I think Bleu Myosotis is Herbin's oldest colour, dating back to use by Louis XIV in 1670!
