Great pens, also looks like they could be used as a James Bond weapon just by looking at those nibs !!

My new (for me) Pilot/Namiki Bamboo with a F nib. It is not only beautiful - it is a lovely writer too.

Thanks for posting your photo.I guess that it's an optical effect, but the nib seems very small for such a big pen.

You are right. The perspective makes the nib look too small. This photo does more justice to the bamboo.

Thank you, Ethernautrix! I took a little series for a future review (or so) and couldn't resist posting one of them here.

Maybe not my favorite black pen, but definitely not one you see every day. smile.gif

Esterbrook V-Clip. (This pen is lever-fill, but I forgot to turn the barrel around for the lever to appear in the picture.)

Couldn't get a decent shot of the nibs I'm afraid so this is the best I could do;

Esterbrook J with a lovely OM nib, and a Varuna with a gold sheaffer lifetime F nib.

Oh, I like the idea of the Lifetime nib in your Varuna. Did you exchange the nib yourself or did it come that way?

Oh no it was Steve at allwritenow who did it for me. Cost a little extra, IIRC all together the pen was $70 inc the c/c and p&p. The nib is superb.
