All my black pens are among my favourite pens. This is one is not completely black, but I'm posting it here anyway.

 

No handwriting on the airmail paper because I was out of time, and out of inspiration. The ink bottle, and the content are from the 40s, just as the pen, a Waterman Crusader -- currently my daily writer.

 

In celebration of Handwriting Day, and in anticipation of Stylophile's Day -- Ottawa Fountain Pen Society, February 1st

Here is one of my favorite black pens with its matching pencil, a vintage Nizzoli Aurora 88 with Nikargenta trim. I just love the sexy sculptured clips on these.

I (had) two. Dantrio Raw Ebonite Mikado (the larger one) and Nakaya Picccolo.

My favorite "pure" black pens, meaning no engravings/detail/filigree or other distractions from the pure, shiny black barrels.

hi .. that Goldfink looks absolutely gorgeous ... can you post more pictures of it... next to the other pens, especially next to the 149 ..

and a close up of the top of the cap ..how it goes from a round shape below the clip ring to hexagonal above it ...

the proportions appeal to me greatly ... reminds of the hemingway, which i just love ...fat & short .. effortlessly held in my hand... ... cheers

Pelikan, if you are also a Hemingway fan, you must take a look at this Goldfink... you'll see, it speaks for itself... :puddle:

I'll take some more pics of all my Goldfinks, and post them. They are among my absolute favorites :cloud9:
