I have one, it writes well, but I can't get used to the grip.

The difference between the almost right word & the right word is really a large matter--it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.

I've had my Lysium for several weeks, now, and still love the (Potty Mouth) out of it. I went through the cartridge it came with pretty quickly, then, after removing the little orange "Write-On System" gadget, loaded the converter with Noodler's Black, which made an already slick writer nearly frictionless. I agree that the ergonomic grip takes some getting used to, but it's worth it.

Regarding it as an eyedropper, the holes that need to be sealed are above the threads that the body attaches to, so it would take some real sealant or a wrap of waterproof tape to make it not leak, again after the orange doohickey has been removed. The threads themselves should be fine with silicone grease; the threads inside the barrel are in a clear, one-piece inner barrel that can be seen through the eight little portholes, so there's no other place for it to leak.

I think the issue of only the topmost window being useful is negated if we use the long international cartridges; the short cartridge only shows through the topmost window, and none of the ink portion of the converter shows in any of them, but the long cartridge certainly should!

One thing I *really* appreciate is that the cap posts onto the butt of the barrel and snaps on with the same collar inside that seals it to the section; very secure!

I watch Antiques Road Show on a regular basis, never ceases to amaze me how the ugliest stuff I’ve ever seen often gets appraised at the highest values.

It was getting to the point when I'd see something ugly I'd declare to myself or to my wife “Now that's ugly! I bet they appraise it at some ridiculously high value!" and sure enough more times then not they do.

Just goes to show that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder, value is based on something else I suppose 'cause it sure ain't based on beauty-alone on that show.

“I view my fountain pens & inks as an artist might view their brushes and paints.

They flow across paper as a brush to canvas, transforming my thoughts into words and my words into art.

There is nothing else like it; the art of writing and the painting of words!”

I strongly dislike it (just in case my grandmother is reading - she hates the word hate). I am glad to hear it is a nice writer but I would go back to flint or charcoal before using a Core. :)

I have the Rubidium and it writes like a dream. Comfortable too given the size of my hands.

From left to right:

* Coridium (Black & Black Cap / Black Barrel)

* Technor (Blue & Black Cap / Black Barrel)

* Tanakor (White & Black Cap / Silver Barrel)

* Balium (Orange & Red Cap / Silver Barrel)

* Rubidium (Red & Black Cap / Metallic Red Barrel)

* Eternium (Orange & Grey Cap / Silver Barrel)

* Rexor (Lt Blue & Blue Cap / Silver Barrel )

* Lyseum (Grey & Lt Green Cap / Silver Barrel)

* Titanium (Black & Grey Cap / Silver Barrel)

My faves are the Rexor & Rubidium

sure they look like sneakers, but sneakers are cool! :)

Definitely a funky pen!!!

Love the way it writes. Have two, bought one for $15.00 way back when and the second for $5.00 when a store was clearing out old stock. Wished I bought all of the ones that were left at the time.

As for looks, unless you are trying to impress someone, who cares how it looks?

Finally, the grip design seems awkward and yet, over time feels very comfortable, very ergonomic.

I have the Tanakor and the Rexor.
