Chris, great pictures! :)

Thanks Playpen. I appreciate everyone's positve comments on the pics. Not quitting my day job, but when I saw the bellflowers I figured it would make a really nice shot. I may use one of those for my avatar since I never did upload anything onto this board.

Although my Dani Trio's are breeding like expensive little rabbits lately and I'm hereby giving Kevin fair warning that I'm going to be looking to take parental ownership of another in Feb at the LA show :notworthy1: , JPR may be right and my lone Nakaya needs a buddy. I was thinking about doing a special order later this year but just saw this great Nakaya goldfish pen on the market watch.

must ...resist...temptation... Damn this hobby and some of the great new pens being made. Time to sell some more vintage pens. :headsmack:

Just picked up the Nakaya goldfish from Sharyn. Couldn't stop thinking about it and I have no willpower. Must have visited the FPN "Classified" board and the Nakaya site 15 times to check it out before committing.

I have used the DTF pen every evening since it arrived and love it. Switched ink to PR Plum and better flow with the flexy stub than with the Noodler's Periwinkle I originally loaded.

Anyone else have pics of their DTF pen to share now that they are arriving? Maybe in a "hometown" location from where you are in the world? Be neat to see where these all ended up! --Chris

Chris - I know you'll have a blast with this pen, I'm happy that it's going to such a good home! :)

I inked up my Fellowship pen with Havana Brown and it was a very special moment. Mine writes a fairly wet line that is so smooth and delicious. I have a smile on my face everytime I pick up this pen.

In rotation:

Pelikan M400 with Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji

Nakaya Kuro-tame Desk Pen with Platinum Blue

Visconti Van Gogh Maxi with Aurora Black

I've seen that pen, and if I hadn't just paid for the Fellowship pen, you'd have had competition.

It's a very nice pen, from a very knowledgable seller. You'll love it.

I like the home town idea: I hope a few people run with it (I'm in the end of August group, so you'll have to wait for my contribution).

Things are quiet.

Too quiet.

The end of August is nigh, with scant news of the second batch.

Waiting is hard. :crybaby:

But, ha, second batch just got sent out from Japan yesterday AM by Express... so, I figure the last 29 pens will land sometimes toward the end of next week the earliest :-)

Most excellent news! I guess I can crank up the macro lens in a couple of weeks, then.

In the meantime, keep those photos coming folks! Show me what I'm missing!

Ha.

After seeing these pictures, and realizing that I am only less than two weeks away, I am starting to get pumped.

Kevin,

Any idea which clip they will be using (remember, you promised; mine would be the first clipped shipped....hey, I'm a poet, and I don't even knowit.....).

My pen as in the first batch. I have felt so bad for those who have had to wait even longer, but I feel sure you will agree the wait is worth while. Hang in there!

Frank, can you tell me if the feed is ebonite or plastic?

 Duh!

It looks to me to be ebonite. I can't tell for sure and I forget what we discussed when waiting for the pen. I am sure the others will step in if a correction is needed.

I never tire of looking at this pen. It's lovely... I just had to take some more photos even though I have no skills.

My genkai came in a box which has two pens slots and the smaller one fits the fellowship pen perfectly so that's where she rests.

STOP it, Siv.

The pressure is getting to be too great (I think I paid this thing off 3 or 4 months ago-I went crazy waiting for my Nakayas for 3 months total).

Now that there is the issue with the clip, it might be another month or more before I get mine.

(I have too many pens without clips, which is why I ordered it with one, but now I am starting to rethink the entire issue).

Seeing yours just makes it worse..

Thanks for the photo of the clam on the bottom... I love the way the little band of silver gives it the perfect 3-dimensional clam shape.

I'm sorry for the wait Doug but I think you are making the right decision. My pen is a pure desk queen - I'm never going to take her out because clipless just isn't practical for me. All my desk pens are clipless and the ones I use every day have clips.
