... And a close-up

(These scans are nothing compared to the real ink. It is such a pretty ink in real life... This is the best I could get. Sigh...)

Well thank you, AnneM. I was already deciding that Sherwood Forest was too "winter" for this time of year, but didn't want to give up green altogether. Now I have an option. B)

Wow! I love that shading! I've been looking for a green. I was considering PR Spearmint or DC Supershow Green or Diamine Jade. Now I think I'll spring for the Spearmint! Thanks AnneM!

this scan is slightly off from the actual color, but I couldn't really alter it very well so this is it.

This is the best scanned image I've ever seen on this board.

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right

to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers,

and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Revelation 22:14-15

I just picked up PR Spearmint myself today. It is a much "brighter" green than MB Racing Green.

I like this green a lot. I have been trying out a lot of green inks lately, includeing MB Racing Green, Levenger Always Greener and Noodler's Hunter Green.

I think MB Racing Green is my overall favorite, as it is a very "professional" looking green. It goes on almost black and the green is more apparent as it dries.

Levenger Always Greener is a bit "too bright" for me. I can't take it seriously. Also, Levenger inks tend to smear a lot for me.

The Spearmint is more of a "true green" in my opinion. It is an excellent color, but not one I will want to use for professional purposes.

The Noodler's Hunter green is a bit darker than Spearmint, but it does have the waterproof feature.

Great review, John Harvey! Looking forward to more.

Anne M, your contribution was well done, also. Please continue to add comments or write your own reviews.

EXCELLENT JOB, BOTH OF YOU!

I'm very glad I could be of help to both of you, Ghost Plane and artaddict!

And DRP, thank you for the kind words!

I feel encouraged to write more reviews, though I think it is better to photograph them. My scans look kind of strange compared to the real thing. The process of scanning seems to "unsharpen" the written text, as if it is covered by a veil.

I bought this color last month and I use it to correct my student's tests. I love how I can make it darker or lighter with my fountain pen.

Real men use fountain pens (and real women use them too).
