Supersize My Nib Discussion Thread

Thanks for all the reviews, I really enjoyed them.

Have an urge to defend my favorite model though: your Parker 180 does not have a medium/X fine "combo" nib, but instead have a medium nib, with an unpolished upper side. In 1982(?) Parker abandoned the two sided feature from the model. The two sided "180" nibs are marked with two letters on the feed, like X/M on mine, and the one sided nibs are marked with one. Both sides of mine 180 is quite smooth.

Thanks for your input Xing; now you've said it it makes perfect sense (although I wasn't aware that Parker had stopped producing it as a two-sided nib). As I said in the review, I really like the concept so I'm going to have to seek out a 'properly' nibbed pen and report back!

I really enjoyed this 30/30 format as did I'm sure everyone who followed it. I had a couple of the pens reviewed. The rest, good reading your comments on them. I know this was a lot of work, nice job. And thanks.

30 days / 30 pens -- you did it, SoapyTwist. :D What a great run. I managed to log on momentarily while away in Sweden and I'm glad to see everything turned out rather well. Looking forward to reading through them all when I return.

Dude, this review rules. It is so useful to those of us who are in the process of beginning a collection, to figure out what is worth time/money and what isn't. I really appreciate the effort you have gone to.
