I'm on the SPP bandwagon. The people here described it with such passion that I could not say no, even though I decided a month ago I had enough ink and would buy no more. This will be the last one, until some others get used up.

I know some people said Tears is as good as SPP, and I was writing with it on some nice paper last night, and it is indeed some magical ink. That golden green sheen. I look forward to comparing the two.

Is there ever a "shipping notification" or will they "just arrive?"

 

I received acknowledgment of the order & receipt of payment but that message included something about "Sailor having been notified about my order & if availability was confirmed, it would be forthcoming;" I imagine was a standard auto generated response because the inks I ordered had been listed as "in stock."

 

I just wonder what is normal, notification or surprise?

I am also happy to say I will be awaiting a bottle of Sweet Potato Purple to join it's companion ink Yellow which I was fortunate to purchase from Vanness more than a year ago. They, Vanness received THEIR shipment today, including the Purple; they graciously allowed me a bottle, a few bottles of Robert Oster & a late addition of a few more unknown to me, bottles of De Atramentis inks, which I only discovered last nite, which have shipped "for FREE, including PRIORITY/2 Day delivery) this afternoon. I hope the vase bottle of Sweet Potato Yellow will recognize it's "sibling," despite it's arrival in the new/Old Sailor, bottle.

 

I intend to have purple stains from fingers to elbows, on BOTH hand!

 

The VANNESS Folk are WONDERFUL, as ALWAYS, BUT I think BungBox is pretty nice to have included the ONLY American retailer of their ink with a shipment containing this ink, concurrent with the MassDrop sale.

 

I think there are some pretty FINE people making our inky indulgences possible!
