I'm hoping that WRE will be able to get me bottles of Usagiya Pione and Kobe Santica.

Envious... The ridiculously expensive shipping from US prohibits me from getting any of the Noodler's Inks I would really love to try. With the new Fedex option at Goulets it is even more ridiculously expensive so I just have to hope guys at Purepens can get some of these the next time around. Been eyeing this ink for so long!

Enjoy it and show us your results please!

Whaleman's Sepia is only available at Goulet Pens, and their shipping rate is not the most wallet-friendly for sure. I know Pelikan Pens in the UK has Noodler's inks, including the Prime of the Commons, an ink not readily available in the US.

And here's the review with writing samples!

I didn't realize it came in large bottles [blink].

I loved the color of Wheelman's Sepia when I got a sample of it. But the stuff just would not flow. Adding distilled water helped, but I was afraid to add too much and dilute the color. :(

Whaleman's Sepia flows OK for me, better than BSB. Once I succeed in improving the flow I'll give you the recipe!

Placed an order with Goulet for Diamine Classic Green, Oxford Blue. Noodler's Habanero, Cayenne and Summer Tanager.

Ah yes, did not realize it was a Goulet exclusive. Enjoyed the review.

Bungbox did some restocking today/yesterday. I managed to buy Omezaki sea and Kabayaki of the hamanako eel.

I was unsure of L'amant, because I don't use such hues, and in my moment of hesitancy, it got sold out. I don't regret it.

I love Graphilo. I've recently whizzed through 2 packs of 50 sheets of Graphilo A4 writing paper. It really shows off inks well and also takes the watercolours I use to decorate my letters. I'm considering making a repeat order. Enjoy your inks (I love both of those you've ordered), and your notebook.

Just FYI, Graphilo is 82gsm, much better than tomoe with same qualities.

I'm still divided between using which one as daily use paper.

I have 16000 sheets of 68gsm tomoe river which I still haven't started using, so decided against making a bulk order for Graphilo.

I'm not a huge fan of 68gsm Tomoe. It exhibits quite different surface characteristics to the 52gsm, which I much prefer. The 68gsm is more robust, certainly, but is also more absorbent - inks & paints don't move as freely, which is an important criteria for me. But just for straight-forward FP writing it is still great paper.

Edit: apologies for diverting the thread. Back to topic..........

LOL Nah, just devoting part of my paycheck to expanding my ink collection. I just have to make sure I don't devote all of my paycheck to it since I got bitten by the Sailor bug. :D
