What ink(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

Montblanc Twilight Blue came today and I like it more than I expected. It really looks like twilight. There is a little bit of red sheen occasionally that I don't think you can see in this photo.

  Beautiful duo.

Will you show us a writing sample, please?

I'd love to see what those ^ look like, but (forgive me, I'm sure it's been noted before) that's a fine quip from Nabokov.

Bourbon (second row, left) is a luscious amber color, but incredibly wet. Does poorly on regular, "everyday" paper, as shown in the image below. Azukimochi (second row, right), on the other hand, is classic Sailor. Wonderful performance, great lubrication, gorgeous color. Writes extremely well on low quality paper and will likely write like buttah on high quality paper. I'm in love.

As an aside, Migo was right, Nagasawa Kobe Santica is a great ink!

Nice colors..... but again, nothing there I have not seen before.

C.

I agree, I've seen similer hues before, though not in the perfect trifecta combination: Performance, lubricant, color. Azukimochi and Santica are the complete package. B)

My Ur Lapis has never written so dark. It's not at all saturated. Mew has had the same experience. Batch variation, perhaps? Ur Lapis was disappointing, but still a nice color.

Santica is the color I was hoping to get from Ur Lapis.

Ur Lapis was pretty horrible. I don't like such pale colors and leaving it in the pen for a week didn't help either. Santica does look nice, and I do regret letting it go. But whatever, I still like Seiran more.

I just got a bottle of Iroshizuku Asa-Gao from Santa Trading (through Amazon). I couldn't say no to the price, though it took weeks for it to arrive. Now to figure out which pen to ink up with it!

Snagged a bottle of Dark Lilac.

My Ur Lapis appears darker than shown & my Santica slightly more violet (cornflower?), exactly a match for my Franklin Christoph Model #20 Blue-Violet.

Usual issue with discrepancy between online images & "real life".
