After my actual 7 Iroshizuku bottles, I'm now waiting for 5 more:

- Iroshizuku Take-sumi

- Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo

- Iroshizuku Asa-gao

- Iroshizuku Momiji

- Iroshizuku Yama-budo

plus 4 empty Iroshizuku bottles

Awsome Ink. Awsome bottles.

EDIT:

Well, why the heck am I reading this topic?... :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Seeing some other replies, I went to examine de Kosumosu review... I'm addicted - I just can't get enough!
Added one bottle of Iroshizuku Kosumosu to the other 5 Iros, once they hasn't been shipped yet :D :D :D :D

Sailor Epinard and plain old, but ever so friendly, Sheaffer Blue.

I blame Sinistral1's new reviews and myself respectively.

As I mentioned to a FPN friend earlier today when asked the same question:

It's colour is like that of a wishy washy wilted mouldy leaf you'd find in the bottom of your vegetable drawer in the fridge when spring cleaning.

No charm or depth. Granted I only tried it in my Taranis and that is a dry(ish) pen so I'll wait till it's a little quieter at work and play with it in my Ahab and a Pilot to see.

Sorry guys Salamander over Epinard so far . . .

Currently, to supplement my only other 2 bottles (MB Mystery Black and MB Royal Blue), I'm awaiting Iroshizuku Ku-jaku, Fuyu-syogun, and Yama-guri. The real question is where I'll keep them. The two MBs live on my desk at work, but I'm tempted to keep at least one bottle at home. I write 80% of the time at work, but I just ran out of ink in my pen last night at home with no ink to refill it. :yikes:

I have two Noodler highlighter inks (yellow and green) on the way for use with the Pilot Parallel.

Chonk34 -- have you used the Eel Blue before? I've been eyeing it, but I've read mixed reviews.

OK. Sailor Epinard in a wet pen works really well.

Just had a play around in my Nib Creeper and dark lines can be seen - still wishy washy when washed but as a writing ink I'll defo use it.

Apologies for the hasty dismissal. Just shows you how different inks behave in different pens.

My Dromgoole's Blue Steel arrived today!!!!!!

I also ordered a few more inks. I've never tried Diamine Cerise and it was recommended.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, I bottle of MB Violet that just arrived at Dromgoole's Today!!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Earlier today I ordered these and promised no more (at least for a while)...

Sailor Grenade (the first time I've replaced a bottle of ink, love Grenade!)

Sailor Epinard (Tas had me wavering over this one)

Diamine Sargasso Sea

J. Herbin Ambre de Bermanie

Then, tonight I discovered the sheen thread in Ink Comparisons, what are promises for if not to be broken? Really...help!

Apologies

There's something about the Epinard that's really grown on me. Sailor inks tend to have that effect on me.

Its lovely for writing but I stick to my guns about washing over it in a sketch. Yuk.

I've purposely not looked at the Sheen ink comparisons, although it is now May. A new month with it's own quota of ink . . .

I was ordering some pen repair materials and it seemed like just such a little order that I thought it'd be nice to add some inks. So somehow my cart ended up with J. Herbin Elcat de Saphir, OS Manganese, Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher.

I only saw your espinard attempets right now.
Yes, indeed, I use Epinard in a Sailor Music, a very large and juicy nib. And what a dark green it puts down.

I even don't appreciate green inks. At all. All the samples i have, i don't touch them.

And i like Epinard a lot. It really is a different green.

I loaded it into my Homo Sapiens broad (and very wet). The colour is darker then I expected. Really nice. Then tried it in a fine OMAS and it's not as satisfactory, a lot closer to your Taranis. As you say, different pens create such different results, which is a good thing and excuses a never-ending search for the perfect ink.
