I haven't tried most of those, but Dragon Catfish Pink makes for a nice highlighter color.  Inks like that go into some cheapie brush pens that used to get packed with the 4 oz. bottles of Noodler's along with Platinum Preppies.  (Now, that size bottle -- or at least a couple of years ago the last time I bought 4 oz. bottles of Noodler's) tend to come with the Charlie eyedroppers instead.)

Many of them do come with the Charlie now, unless you get them from the wrong supplier, who tends to take the box and the pen. Is the Charlie available for sale anywhere on its own?

If it isn't too bright for you, it isn't bright enough for me.

Robert Oster NYC ink, Private Reserve Violet, Robert Oster Ghostly, Wearingeul Witch, Diamine Imperial Purple cartridges. I’m hoping Goulet will have that Colorverse Halloween Ink back in stock soon.

Not as far as I know.  I just checked the Noodler's website and they weren't listed in the "Writing Instruments" section.

I need more ink samples like I need a hole in the head, but I bought a handful from Anderson Pens anyway.

They are Diamine Aurora Borealis, Early Grey, Indigo and Tyrian Purple, along with Herbin Cacao du Bresil and Vert Empire, Kyo-no-oto Aonibi, Pelikan 4001 Violet and Sailor Souboku, which will be my first pigment ink.

Iroshizuku Shin-kai

My 1st from this brand.

So okay - first test:

How many times did you have to look back at the name to make sure you were spelling it right when you posted that? 😉

I got 99 problems but a BIC ain't one!

@dimledger-- I like Souboku a lot, and have some of the other inks you ordered as well.  LOVE Tyrian Purple.

@I-am-not-really-hereMB made an ink in honor of Jimi Hendrix?  Do tell!

Hmmm.  Just checked their website, and it's not (yet) available at any of their boutiques.  So I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.  Wondering now how it compares, color-wise, to the Beatles Psychedelic Purple.

No hurry, though, I can wait.  Maybe by Christmastime (if I can make it to NYC) I'll try to do my sort-of annual pilgrimage to Fountain Pen Hospital....

Just received an email from Dromgooles, they have the Jimi Hendrix collection in stock, at the moment.

Thanks.  I'll look into that, and also some of the usual suspects like Vanness Pens (which tends to have ink brands that most nobody else in the US carries).

Of course I need another purple ink like I need another hole in my head....

I just inked a pen up with the Souboku this morning and already like it a lot.

I haven't put the Tyrian Purple in a pen yet, but the color of the swatch I made with it is really interesting.

I went a little nuts and ordered 12 samples of Ferris Wheel Press inks from Goulet and two 20oz bottles of Ferris Wheel Press from Dromgooles.  I'm looking forward to playing with all of them in my flex nibbed pens!

Manyo Shirakashi and Yomogi, both in package deals with pens. I looked at other colors I might ask them to substitute for the Yomogi as I bought a second bottle a while back but nothing caught my fancy.

Totally forgot I ordered 3 Studio as well, 762, 943 and 024.

NOS bottle of vintage Parker Permanent Blue Black Quink (with Solvex) based on a recommendation from a certain inky enabler from Nevada.

Pelikan 4001 Blue Black.

I’ve never previously used it, and I already own bottles of three other types of proper blue-black ink (& two other ‘blue black’ inks in cartridges), but a wiser person than me once wrote that:

So I finally have Succumbed to Temptation, and ordered 62.5ml of the famed elixir.

*LMAO* Uh-huh!!  Don't fret tho....in almost no time you'll find yourself saying & writing it like you were born there. So many outstanding hues..you'll be visiting it often I'm sure. And that Shin-kai is one of them! It's one I went thru 2 samples of & ended up buying a full bottle, too.

@Just J I took longer than some people to try a bottle of iroshizuku (yes, I got the bottle out to spell that correctly). I have bought bottles of literally more than 20 other brands plus samples of still other brands. Anyway, guess what? This is an absolutely perfect blue for my taste. They did a very, very good job getting this blue to fall between any other blue I have. Not too grey, too black, too bright, too pale, or too green. My pen loves it too. Hooray.I'm a fan.
