What ink(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

Lol, I need to slow down, just bought a 3 pack of the little Iroshizuku bottles: Asa-Gao, Shin-Kai, and Yama-Budo. I’m good for a while- I have a lot of ink coming.

Oh! You getting the whole Witch Set with the glitters? I so wanted to get that to play around with, 'til I saw the price tag, that is!  I've noticed around the webz Wearingeul seems to really be catching on. Wondering is it the novelty of their product line, or are we that starved for new hues & 'performance' inks. 

 

I was also tempted [just yesterday] to try that Imperial Purple I saw on sale. I have a bit of a dilemma going on about that; just got a Ferrari* fountain pen and trying to decide what purple to use in it, a la Enzo!

Meanwhile, I settled for going deeper into the Blues: ordered

Monteverde Horizon Blue

&       "           Mandarin Orange to start 'pumpkinin' up' for the Autumn season.

I have a few things on the way from the FPR sale including some of their house brand inks... But USPS sent my package to PUERTO RICO where it is going BACK AND FORTH between PR mail centers. I live in the opposite direction... Washington state! 

 

I will probably have ink from the inevitable Goulet holiday sale before my October FPR package makes it here, sigh.

This morning the USPS said it made it to Seattle, which was a nice surprise after some days of it going back and forth inside PR, then no updates. So, this might work out!

My FPR package arrived from its Puerto Rico diversion, and miraculously was in perfect condition... Not a drop spilled.

The first time this happened to me, I thought "huh that's a weird efficiency" the second time I thought "no way... OR, not PR!" The third time... 🙄

Pretty straight-forward: Platinum Citrus Black. I've wanted this for a while, but heading into winter (and wet) but still wanting to send postcards, I wanted another option in my waterproof inks.

oooh, my Diamines came in - Holly, Garland, Winter Spice, Solstice and Frosted Orchid. All lovely and Garland is probably winning by a nose. I need to stop on buying ink for a little while now...although I'm enjoying Westgate Hotel by Pure Pens a lot so I might have to get a second bottle, just in case. You know how it is.

Currently waiting on a collection of Noodler's inks. Baystate Cape Cod Cranberry from JetPens, two Dragon Catfish inks (pink and orange) from Amazon, and maybe Golden Pig. Trying to remember if I picked that one up from Goulet. Mostly waiting on pens.

Me, these days, my memory is just a memory. So, how to keep track??  Li'l quick trick I've used - do a search for a unique word[ing] in the ink's name, in my e-mail inbox. With the proliferation of Order Received, Payment Received, Order Ready, Order Shipped, Tracking Notes, Delivery Notices, & Invitations to Review e-mails they spew out nowadays, it's kinda hard to slip one past without notice!  Still, I've managed to order 2 inks I already had one of, one my fault, one Amazon's. As precious as storage space is now, not something I can afford to do much. Have you seen the price of new bank vaults lately?!?  😜

That is def a lovely shade of blue. I just got in 2 sample vials of it, no chance to try it yet but don't think I'll be disappointed.  Its biggest hurdle will be another blue I've currently got this 'thing' going on with, & can't betray.

I haven't tried most of those, but Dragon Catfish Pink makes for a nice highlighter color.  Inks like that go into some cheapie brush pens that used to get packed with the 4 oz. bottles of Noodler's along with Platinum Preppies.  (Now, that size bottle -- or at least a couple of years ago the last time I bought 4 oz. bottles of Noodler's) tend to come with the Charlie eyedroppers instead.)

I went through Japan Rabbit and so far, it's been pretty frustrating.
