not if it tends too much to black

In regular indoor light (not the bright window light I used in the photos; however, I think it's mostly just a question of the nuances that this camera is/isn't able to pick up, or maybe how our various screens interpret the colors), I'd call this ink a soft smoky medium-charcoal.

Does it smear badly if you run your finger across the page, even weeks after it has dried, like other sheen monsters?

What a coincident!

This is one of the sample I am currently testing and debating if I should order.

Received my Kobe #11 Ikuta Orange today.

And now waiting for my impulsive shopping yesterday of 5 mini Colorverse.

- Matter

- Gravity Wave

- Quasar

- Vortex Motion

- Hayabusa Glistening

But, not sure when it will be shipped, found out this morning Hayabusa Glistening is on backorder  : ////

I like Gravity Wave quite a lot, but slightly prefer Tsuki-yo.  Gravity Wave is a little bit brighter, IMO, but they both are well-behaved and nicely saturated.

I bit the bullet and ordered the J. Herbin Stormy Grey.  Then to not have to pay shipping, I added in Diamine Frosted Orchid to match my in-bloom orchids, and a sample of Sailor Manyo Kikyou.  And a pen syringe, as mine got damaged when I used it to baste something while cooking.  And a small Clairefontaine Notebook. 🐑

OH my gosh, I missed this before.  I would love to see this ink in person.  Perhaps I can convince you to ink up and I'll do a CRV comparing Diamine Winter Miracle?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Diamine Bashful Blueberry, Gruntled Guava, and Wistful Watermelon.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Yes, I blame you. :) Indeed, I ended up choosing those colours because of your endorsement in earlier posts on FPN — certainly the Blueberry and Watermelon.

I'll take it on the chin :) I was using blueberry today, in fact, in a futile attempt to feel a bit closer to spring.

I'm afraid I caved on a couple of Wearingeul inks tonight - I've been trying so hard to resist and ended up getting two very similar colours to see if I like them. They're not cheap, but there are a couple of other colours I like the look of if they behave nicely.

Brand: 诗色 (DeepL translation: "Poetic Colors". I have also seen the brand referred to as 'Poezie', which is the Czech word for "Poetry".) All in the Morandi Color* Series (Google Translate used below):

And a nameless one from an unidentified brand, also referred to as a Morandi color:

*'Morandi color' is the distinctive pallette of tranquil, muted colors used by the painter Giorgio Morandi, a favorite of mine.
