Got a notice from Vanness that Baystate Blue is back in stock.

I just ordered an orange TWSBI ECO ( B) and a bottle of BSB to be a dedicated pair.

And a clairefontaine notebook, in case I need to dedicate a notebook to this broad ECO. ;)

ETA: Also placed an order on endlesspens:

  • Edelstein Topaz

  • 4001 Blue Black

  • Waterman Inspired Blue

I got a bottle of Noodler's Heart of Darkness on the way. It's my staple.

I bought a bunch of 2 oz Nalgene Bottles as well to put the ink in.

A 50ml bottle of Monteverde Horizon Blue.

Just placed an order with Vanness, which includes 9 samples (all shades of blue/turquoise). I included two companies I wanted to try before they disappear forever:

  • Standard Bindery Luna Tone
  • Private Reserve Lake Placid Blue

I have never tried PR inks, and I half expect Vanness to email me and say the sample is rotten. :P

Nearly all my inks are in 30ml Nalgen bottles, a few in 60ml , Pelikan 4001 BB in 125ml, Pilot BB in 250ml + 125ml.

Convenient, sturdy, airtight, compact, indestructible. also cheap.

It's cheaper still to keep Diamine, Monteverde, Sailor Shikiori/STORiA and Pilot Iroshizuku inks in the 15ml–30ml retail bottles in which they came. :)

Of course, keeping the original bottle is cheaper.

But diamine 30ml are not stable: i have happened to spill ink. Ditto with sample vials.

neither practical: mouth and neck are too narrow for many a pen.

affordability is not a concern for me, it was only an aside remark.

p.s. Did you know that Diamine 30ml bottles contain in fact 34 ml quite systematically?

Quite oddly I had ordered a Diamine Terracotta bottle (the triangular ones) supposedly 40ml which also contained 34ml.

Just anecdotic.

I never volumetrically measured any of the contents of retail ink bottles I bought, whether they're nominally 15ml (think Pilot Iroshizuku mini bottles) or 80ml (think 'large' Diamine bottles in its standard range). I have a few of the 40ml 150th Anniversary inks here, but I never measured their contents, so thanks for pointing that out and I'm happy to take your word for it.

Woohoo! This order is showing as Out for Delivery today - it was supposed to arrive tomorrow. I love it when a package shows up a day early. It makes up for all the packages that show up late in these days.

Exactly : )

I'm quickly starting to like them that much, too : )

I really like how having the nalgene bottles relaxes a lot of worry I didn't realize I previously had about having to be careful with glass bottles.

My order to Goulet was placed back on May 31, about 3 hours before free shipping expired. I was coveting those Ravenclaw colors (only Goulet have those as far as I know) and the multi-color shading ink...

Was not planning to buy any... famous last words!

Nice :D One of those crazy shaders is on the way to me too as of today. Have been enjoying soft, light toned shading inks of late so ordered:

Sailor Manyo Haha

J. Herbin Corail Des Tropiques

KWZ Green Gold #2

Diamine Amaranth

Krishna Caramel

A weird combination if ever there was one.

Oooo nice! The only reason why I did not buy a bottle of Haha was because it was sold out... Ah, well....

Off topic. Pelikan Blue/Black, Sailor Yamadori, and Sailor Tokiwa-matsu are my favorite inks.

I managed to get an order in with Troublemaker Inks back at the beginning of March, I received a notice of shipment with tracking number a couple weeks later and then the pandemic shut down the Philippines post. My package never showed up in any tracking, so I sent out a couple emails to TMI in april and in may: no reply ever. A couple days ago the package finally registered as "handed in to the post office" so maybe it is coming eventually!

I am waiting on a surprise package, none of these inks were sampled before I ordered. And in the midst of it, something I have coveted for oh-so-long: the Pilot Pensemble... Stilo e Stile is a pearl of a shop. Recommend enthusiastically! No affiliation, just a happy, regular customer.

(I hope it is okay to use the little ink-icons from their shipping notice here. If not, please delete)
