After trying the samples, I got a full bottle of the Stipula Purple and just ordered the Sweet Pink.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

~ Several bottles of L’Artisan Pastellier Callifolio ink.

Those on hand have been so pleasing that it seemed like time to add a few more.

Until 10 minutes ago I was awaiting the new Rohrer & Klingner, maroon, which I saw was "in stock" on La Couronne du Comte website Sunday November 24 & quickly ordered.

I was surprised to find confirmation of the order on Monday (they are closed on Sundays, I believe) & the tracking information for DHL shipping. I was amazed to see their choice of DHL because the website shows "orders outside the US will utilise NL Post." I was even more amazed to receive updated tracking information to indicate that the ink would be delivered TODAY, a mere 3 days since I placed the online order & 2 days since it was shipped!

I am delighted to say it arrived today, gift wrapped as usual & quite safe inside their shipping carton; a quick fill of a pen shows it to be the beautiful rich brown I was expecting & a nice wet ink!

As one who has awaited (& enjoyed) many orders from LCC, I have to say this was the first time I have received one so promptly; The Pen Gods must have smiled upon my little bottle of ink to speed its journey!

After looking at the weather for the next week or so, I decided to curtail my ink purchases until spring.

I decided to tempt fate one last time. I probably shouldn't have, but we'll see. I'm currently on a quest for the perfect blurple and/or purple while also looking for a cerulean blue that leans just a hint grey. I just couldn't wait until spring so I bought a load of samples that should keep me through the worst of the winter. (Unless, of course, I happen to have found one of the exact colors I am looking for. If that happens then I dare say I'll tempt fate again.)

Yet another Sarah.

Another back-up bottle of Lamy Petrol, bringing my total to 3 bottles now. I hope Lamy will someday take a hint and will add this ink to their permanent offerings, although I doubt it, because of the addition of the Crystal line.

~ Four more bottles of L’Artisan Pastellier ink.

They're part of a shipment with a special order fountain pen, which isn't expected to be delivered for two or three months.

Whenever they arrive in 2020, they'll be most welcome.

I'm waiting for a bottle of Diamine 'Golden Brown' which I look forward to using in my slightly-wetter-than-average PFM. Beautiful shading with this ink and I like to use a brown ink to write my Christmas cards in the Victorian tradition.

The Diamine 'Golden Brown' went instead into a Parker Duofold. It behaved nicely but was a little yellower than I had expected. With a name that includes "golden" what did I expect?
