KWZI Grey Plum, as replacement/compensation for the bottle of KWZI Green Gold that was not capped properly prior to being sealed in cling wrap at the factory.

I thought the bottle of Green Gold had an interesting label, with golden brown 'writing' on a murky green background. It was only after I removed the cling wrap that I saw the exterior of the bottle and the label was utterly soaked.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Grey Plum is a great color. I think you'll like it.

Delfts Blauw is a wonderful choice. I hope he enjoys it.

You may want to try out the Sailor Souboku. That ink makes a pen write like a dream with how lubricated it is. Velvety.

I've have been looking into that one as well but I don't know to much about it, I might get it though cause the color looks beautiful. Do you have any recommendation using this ink with a specific pen?

Thanks for letting me know... ;)

I personally prefer Souboku in a wetter pen to offset the paleness and bring out its potential to shade, which is beautiful. I have a Lamy 2k-M (Wet pen) arriving soon which I will ink Souboku with.

Like Sailor Nano Kiwa-Guro it does tame the nib width, so it doesn't write a fat line, yet still keeps the nib smooth since it's well lubricated. But I had problems with Kiwa-Guro writing too dry with nonsolid patchy lines out of dry pens (Safari's, TWSBI's), though I don't know if Souboku is the same way. I haven't tested it around.

My previous favorite Blues were Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite and Noodler's 54th Mass.

P.E. Tanzanite is on the serious side, yet with depth and character. A beautiful Blue Black. It almost seems like an Indigo Blue Black. Worth sampling.

I loved Noodler's 54th's color and was ready to make that my Desert Island Ink just for that, but I couldn't get a batch that flowed well. I tried from several different places but it always wrote too wet, feathering, and spreading on Clairefontaine out of Pilot Metro Fine nib.

Souboku is very close to 54th, so that's another reason why I love Souboku.

I typically make only one ink purchase per year and decided to acquire a bottle of Rohrer & Klingner Aubergine while it is still available.

I'm awaiting those as well, along with Teal and Eau de Nil a lovely grey green.

A stunner in gGrey is their 150th anniversary Silver Fox.

I realized I saved quite a bit by purchasing from the source www.diamineinks.co.uk until I saw the buy 2 get one free sale at www.theonlinepencompany.com also UK w/less shipping!

Just received Diamine Registar's from Jet Pens (after confirming local sources didn't have it in stock) as I needed to get more Pilot Coleto multi pen refills.

So far I really like it. It writes wetter and dries much darker than R&K Salix.

It's fun to watch it change from light blue to almost black in a minute of so.

ETA: Just did a water resistance test between Salix and Registar's on Rhodia paper. After one minute under running warm water, the Salix faded to very light gray while the Registar's had no noticeable change.
