  • 1 month later...

Stocking up on staples, as in, Pelikan 4001. The Finnish FB fountain pen group that I admin got a really generous offer on inks from a local arts & crafts supply shop (for example, the 62.5ml bottles of 4001 went for for 6€ etc.). So, I ordered three bottles of Blue-Black and two bottles of Turquoise. That makes it for an unopened total of four BB and two Turquoise along with the ones that are opened and in use, should last for a while... :D

Next up, trying to get a few smaller specialist shops here to import and carry Sailor Souboku and other of their Nano inks... ;)

If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Quiet, you are going to have a lot of fun!

I'm hoping so!! This is where I'm at right now, as I've amassed a pretty good collection of fountain pens and now want to have some fun with them, so inks are where it's at. I have been enjoying the various Noodler's inks I've tried, but my next goal is to get something with a stub nib and maybe try some sheening inks, as the artwork and writing I've seen done with them is really beautiful. The one I want most immediately is Emerald of Chivor. Perhaps an old standby at this point, but it'll be my first, I think.
