Oh, I'm betting you'll LOVE IG Violet #3 and Grey Plum....

(ink used is KWZI IG Gummibery)

How do you order your KWZI? I'd like to try a couple of them.

Well, looking at your list and seeing what I have, I liked IG Green #3 fairly well, but not as much as some other greens. Didn't care a lot for the color of IG Turquoise when it oxidized, but that's just me -- and it does have pretty amazing shading.

Other KWZI inks I really liked were IG Mandarin, IG Blue-black, IG Blue #3, and regular Green-Gold (which beat out R&K Alt-Goldgrun in my book). Didn't care for the color of IG Red #1 once it oxidized, but it might do better in a broader, wetter nib (or not); Old Gold didn't wow me much.

I haven't had a chance to sit down and try regular Turquoise, even though I've had it for a while. There are several others on my short list to try: Maroon, Honey, Cappuccino, and IG Aztec Gold (I wanted to try IG Cherry, too, but I'm not sure if that one is still available).

  • 1 month later...

Not waiting for these any longer, since they arrived today:

Rohrer & Klingner LE Johann Sebastian Bach: Kaffee Kantate [sic] dark brown

Sailor Usagiya Kojima Denim, a very rick dark blue

Sailor Kingdom Note Tanna japonensis, a lovely olive green

The internet makes it possible to buy these inks, but what I can't buy is the time to play with them. I need to spend less time reading FPN and more time writing with all my beautiful stuff.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

A PIF'd bottle of Levenger Amethyst arrived yesterday. I currently have it in my Esterbrook LJ with 2464 nib.

OH WOW, great stuff.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
