Parker Sonnet + Penman = Weird (!)

The fungus problem has been addressed very well. I will comment that I have tried Giovanni's anti-fungal products and they have worked very well.

I have just a comment on the Sonnet drying out easily. There is a very large vent area in the top of the cap which, if I have understood correctly, was mandated by law to allow a child to breathe if s/he accidentally swallowed the cap. A number of years ago, I read a comment on another board that one could close off the vent by using candle wax. I took a plain white candle, lighted it, and when the wax was just soft enough to drip I put some over the vent area of one of my Sonnets. It dried in a few seconds and did the job of blocking the vent very well. I have used that wax method on all my Sonnets and the drying problem disappeared.

Does anyone else have another method?
