Hi,

I would appreciate if someone can offerme hints on how to disassemble Sheaffer Imperial VII, touchdown filler. I need to replace the sac and ring but don't know how to open it.

Thanks

Unscrew at the joint between the section and the body, which will reveal the sac protector. The protector just pulls off, and there's the sac. You'll need a flat-head screwdriver long enough to reach up through the barrel to undo the blind cap-- once that's off, you can drop out the filler tube and get at the o-ring. You can stop before it looks like this Imperial II (but this might help to guide-- you DO want everything apart as it appears to the left of the joint washer):

It has been very helpful thank you. But how did you disassembled the nib and feed apart. I have to align the feed.
