M800 Cracked barrel

Dear Hari,

I too have a couple of Pelikan M800s with a cracked barrel. They leak at the thread portion close to the section. I used to swear by these pens for the sheer pleasure I get writing with them, I do so less loudly now. By the way one has a normal medium nib and the other an OB nib. I am woebegone. I would appreciate a link to the German Pelikan customer care to see if I can also get it repaired directly from them. Thanks in advance.

It happened to my M800 Brown Tortoise (NS) recently with the same issue like Hari's. Pelikan Germany repaired it for free. A few years back the same thing also happened to my M800 Blue Stripe (OS). I gave instruction to Pelikan Malaysia that they must return back the pen repaired in OS condition which Pelikan Germany did it and repaired it for free. Kudos to Pelikan!

Hari. My story starts like yours but it does not have a happy ending. Pelikan put a new barrel ( black). After some years the section and barrel came apart. I sent the pen again to Pelikan Germany. They repaired this. Now just a month back I saw a crack developing in the new black barrel that I had got direct from their German factory. I am tired of this and have decided to stick to Japanese and Indian pens from now on.
