Thank you for sharing this useful information. This issue has annoyed me since I bought my Carene but tonight I have carried out the alignment and am delighted.

AND............."ANOTHER" foolish person who merely remained annoyed at the misalignment & "lived with" it! I honestly have hated it every time I used the pen BUT not as much as the "small"sized factory stub nib. I was under the impression that Waterman's "wrote wide" & expected the 1. stub to write wider than it does. I suppose because the Carene nib is such a "nail" there is just not a chance of that similar reputation appearing in the Carene. I love the style, design of the nib BUT the misalignment quite provoked me in a $200 pen! I suspect I will NOW have a chance to develop a "closer" relationship with this pen. Thanks to all who offered these suggestions. The small stub may NOT bother me as much with the alignment corrected.

Thanks for reviving this topic. I never would have seen it otherwise. I've been thinking about getting one of these for some time.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Yes, thanks for reviving this topic. Sometimes an old topic is really useful.
