Someone made some nice comments on the pen today.

Review

I am a little curious. I have been getting very nice comments about the pen but I seem to have not generated many comments from here.

Any idea why this seems to be off the radar here but is getting feedback elsewhere. This is a very nice forum and I thought it would be a good fit here.

Any one have any ideas?

Thanks

Jon

You might be right. This might be more popular with backpackers and the edc crowd. They are certainly small, light, and solid but it is possible that this is not what the pen crowd wants. I will keep trying for a bit longer with the pen crowd and see what happens even though this might be the wrong audiance for this.

Not to be the buzzkill, because they're very cool, but you'll find that a lot more folks around here are more into the fountain pen side of things than ballpoints. I like the design idea, though!

Right now they only come in black. That might change in the future. Because of the quantity required to get a custom size made it is expensive to do this. The plus side is there is possibly several years supply of ink available in each order we do.

I asked number of posts ago whether you have a f/p or plan to do one in the future and nothing from you.

So I understand b/p's ce tu!

possibly if we could ever afford to but it would have a different market. To make some parts we would have to do quite a few to get even the lowest levels of economies of scale will be expensive. If we made the nip from the ground up and had custom ink tanks make we would have to do quite a few. If we had to mold something that could be 20k to have the mold made. We would have to fully sell these out plus several more runs to try that.

That would also not appeal I think to my biggest customer base. Many of my customers are backpackers and cavers. They want the ability to write in damp conditions and possibly on a vertical surface.
