I prefer the 742 to 743. However I also like my 845s with the 18k #15 nibs very much.

as a stock option? no, only 742/3 have it.

There's a store in Japan who sell the 823 with the FA nib.

The 743 (#15) nib should fit in an 823 or 845, and there are other models compatible with the 742 (#10) so there's another option: buy both a 742/743 and another pilot, swap the nibs, and then sell the 742/743.

742 and 743 does have some size difference if only minimal else its just the same sized plastic

I feel the barrels are identical between the 743/742 except for the trim rings, i will check and confirm once I have some time.

How have you found them in comparison?

My 912-FAs are really soft, wet, lush, amazing. The 743-FA is also amazing but firmer. It does have the same flex but only after a certain ... difficult to describe ... initial "resistance point". With that it is easier to use on those days, when I feel tired and less concentrated since the 912-FAs are that soft that I sometimes flex them unwillingly because of the light touch they demand. But, all in all, I'd recommend both sizes and, since I have no other #15 size FA to compare, cannot know whether only my 743 nib behaves like that. With the 912 I have more experience, I have tried 6 of these nibs altogether and liked them all.

Yes, that's true, but the original statement was that only the 742 (#10 nib) and the 743 (#15 nib) come with an FA as standard. The 912 comes with an FA nib (#10) as a standard nib choice, too.
