Clipless here.

Why, sometimes I'd like to take a switchblade and a peppermint and a Cadillac and throw it all in a fire.

Kevin, is it a big deal to have a clip added after the fact? I love the idea behind this pen, but I want my next Danitrio to have a clip (I sold the one of my 3 that that had a clip-a Densho).

I'm just wondering if this is the kind of thing they do with existing pens (Put a slit in the cap, slide the clip in, and screw it down).

Any idea?

Hmmm, I would assume because of the Haiku, without a clip would look better no? since it's octagon, rolling off the table is not likely as compare with round shape pen. But let's have a show of hands to see how many here would prefer a clip vs. without. I am just thinking... less complication, less money to make :-), but let's hear from you. Thanks.

Kevin

Actually, I wasn't trying to sway the votes here, I was just looking at it from a personal standpoint. My next one (whatever that is) needs to have a clip, so that might push me away from this particular pen. I just wanted to know if Dani ever does that kind of work after the fact.

I can always live vicariously through the pictures that I'm sure Mava, Jopen, etc will publish.

No worry Doug. Spoke with Danitrio and they assured me they can make a few with clips without driving up the cost at all. So maybe 45 without clip and 5 with clips would do.

I was about to say no clip on a reflex but the pen I use the most (my Nakaya long piccolo) has a clip... I guess I'd have to see how it looks before I make a decision.

Kevin, before I get all excited about this, can you give an idea of ballpark cost for this puppy? <$1k/$1k/$1.5k/$2k/>$2k??? I don't mean to have you commit to a number but I don't want to put my name and inflate the purchase numbers if the pen is going to be much greater than I'm able spend.

if we keep it simple and elegant, we do not have to spent too much on this pen. I will definitely keep it bellow 1K.... way bellow if I can help it.

I've got a Danitrio Ban-ei, a Miwaku, an Alphaplus, and a Tosca. Can I join the club? I'm all the way on the east coast in Boston, but I'm a Danitrio enthusiast nonetheless. :bunny01:
