OK, the big announcement...

I have been exchanging emails with Danitrio regarding the enthusiastic Danitrio pen owners here and he is genuinely touched by all of your enthusiasm and it seems a sort of fan club is forming here. I read some of you have suggested a fan club pen for the fellowship members. He has agreed to make such pen for fellowship members as long as we can come up with a design or theme. We will try to make this pen simple to make it as affordable as possible. A new pen shape body will be used for this pen, it will be a shorter clipless octagon cc filler, which can be converted to a western ED filler if one desires so. The pen will only be sold to Fellowship members and part of the proceed can be used to set up an account, maybe for future club functions?? Anyways, just ideas for us to talk about. Let me know what you all think.

Best,

Kevin

I'm curious about the special edition pen. I honestly have no use for a pen that is smaller than a Takumi size. I just can't use it comfortably. And on the other end, I understand that some people can't use a Mikado comfortably. I think in the past Kevin has done multiple sizes of his LE pens.

So, how about this special edition being two sizes. One in the size Kevin suggests (a slightly shorter octagon) and one in an octagon Mikado size?

I think Danitrio is only offering the short size. Making it only available to us. The regular octagon is longer than the Takumi, I think. The short might be about the size of a Takumi? We don't know, really, since it is a new size.

The standard Octagon and Takumi are roughly the same size. A shorter Octagon would probably be about a Nakaya Piccolo size. In either event I'm excited!! MORE DANITRIO's!! WOOOHOOOO!!!

The thing is to make this as affordable as possible. This does not mean everyone has to buy one of course. It is an suggestion and I think a nice gesture on their part. I think another company that has club pen is Omas, no? any other pen company? More variation is always possible, but would drive the cost up I would assume. I think have a design or theme would be the first step and we can work out other details later :-)

The positive response by DaniTrio is (IMNSHO) one of the reasons DaniTrio has so many fans. This is a company that responds t their customers wishes and desires, plus they make a quality product. Three of the pens that have remained inked since the first day I got them are DaniTrios; not just the somewhat expensive ones either.

Best regards, Ken.
