Eureka! A New Piquadro Adjustable 3-Pen Case!

Ms. März sent me an e-mail this morning stating she has no more 3 pen cases, referring me to Piquadro.

 

Out of luck.

I'm sorry to hear of this. I still can't help but think she was referring to her current inventory status ... and not issuing a defacto statement that she'll no longer be stocking Piquadro 3-pen cases.

 

There is a language barrier. In the initial e-mail from Ms. März, I made an incorrect assumption regarding a shipping matter based entirely upon misconstrued terminology. A follow-up e-mail query to her was immediately answered and served to quickly remedy my confusion. :embarrassed_smile:

 

In other words, if you haven't already done so, it might prove beneficial to e-mail her and ask if she will be getting more Piquadro 3-Pen Cases in the near future. I'd further ask if she would kindly place an order for you (again, if you haven't already done so.).

 

With any luck at all, your acquisition of a Piquadro 3-Pen Adjustable Leather Case will be just a matter of time ... and not at all a question of "IF" ...!!!

BTW, I too email Ms. Marz, but have not heard anything back. I'm not sure why she would be getting more in stock, though. Since they don't make them anymore, these were obviously old stock items that she was selling. I suspect that she has sold whatever she has.

I just logged-on to FPN and was immediately BLOWN AWAY by your very high quality work!!!

 

If I didn't know any better, I could swear that the very first image WAS of a Piquadro case!

 

You have tremendous abilities to be sure, which you have clearly demonstrated in your masterful work. If you were to substitute a fabric matching (or coming very close to) that which was used in the Piquadro AC872, it's safe to assume that you would enjoy a resulting large number of sales. The AC872 is a timeless design, sought by many, yet currently so very scarce ... creating a void for which I have great confidence you would be able to fill.

 

Thanks again for providing the images of your leather pen cases. As a result, you've certainly given me a lot of food for thought (!!!) ... and I shall be looking over the 'cuisine' while making up my mind as to which one(s) to purchase.

I shared the exact same sentiments when I first laid eyes on the Piquadro 3-Pen leather case that was for sale at Das Outlet! ... So I asked Ms. März about it. In other words, I inquired whether the 3-pen case she was selling was NOS, or was it really and truly NEW.

Her response was as follows. Paraphrasing: "The Piquadro AC872 has been discontinued, however the model I am offering for sale is the CURRENT AC872TP/TM from the Tamponato Series."

 

Even with the German/English language barrier, it certainly would seem that the case she sold me is still/currently being manufactured. I don't know (definitively) whether it is or is not, as everything I've read thus far on the subject has been contained exclusively in the FPN forums.

 

In any case, I sincerely hope Ms. März can obtain more (a lot more!) Piquadro leather pen cases in order to accommodate the wants and needs of the good folks here at FPN.

Is the leather you use vegetable tanned or chromium tanned leather? If it is not vegetable tanned leather and

there isn't some fabric lining (like in the Piquadro), the leather may "turn" some gold pens.

Use both, depending on the style and design where consumption of leather to manufacturing time is relevant, or the other

way round, anyway all cases are lined with heavy weight (330gsm) black polyester fabric to avoid direct contact/scartches

 

Some of the images that you see with full leather are only trial pieces for the feel and substance in complete leather,

Our Zip Around Pen Display cases in A5 and A4 sizes use a padding under the fabric for better protection.

Just heard back from Ms. Marz. Her reply:

 

"From Piquadro we get some items but we can not order them.

 

This Piquadro AC842TP/TM is from a formerly production and I do not expect to get any in the future.

 

I will keep your mail address in case that we will get this AC872TP/TM again and will contact you.
