Eureka! A New Piquadro Adjustable 3-Pen Case!

Apparently, a 3-pen case like that in black is not available. We have an older one, but that's for 2-pens.

I'm wondering ... If you were to purchase the brown 3-pen case, then have it professionally redyed ... perhaps you could work around/avoid the "black is not available" roadblock? :hmm1:

 

Initially, I was thinking "shoe polish" ... then came to my senses and quickly dismissed the idea.

I have quite a growing collection of different pouches in all sizes and configurations and I probably cannot justify the expense of having a Piquadro pouch professionally altered. Besides, it's all stitched up, glued and lined. To undo all this work, properly re-treat the leather and put it together again would be very time consuming and cost-prohibitive. And it may leave chemical residue that will eat a hole in my "precious resin..."

I have one of the older brown ones and love it! I think the brown has more character than the black. Fits everything, weathers well, looks great!

 

One went recently on ebay for about $55 US too - great buy!

+1! Absolutely! The brown color exudes much greater character than the black, IMHO.

You most certainly provide a strong argument against having a Piquadro professionally redyed.

 

With any luck you'll find another make/model (in black) that'll meet your expectations. It's too bad Piquadro doesn't offer it, though!!!

I've e-mailed Piquadro several times, asking if they would do a special production run of cases for FPN... unfortunately no responses. :bonk:

If Piquadro made a special production run for the good folks here at FPN it would be a literal Godsend!

 

However, the initial tool-up/pre-production costs, in view of today's depressed economy, would likely be astronomical ... which may be part of the reason Piquadro has declined to respond to your messages (just a wild hunch on my part). They could simply be too busy ...

 

If a large number of FPNers were to e-mail them with the same request, perhaps they would be more inclined to render an answer ... one way or the other. It's worth a try!

Before creating this thread, I asked Ms. März if doing so might pose a problem with fulfilling future Piquadro 3-Pen Case orders. In other words, if I "spread the word" ... would she be able to keep a sufficient quantity of cases on hand if deluged with a blitzkrieg of orders. She told me to go ahead and post the thread ... and all would be fine.

 

Based upon the feedback I've read here and in my e-mail Inbox, perhaps there were more orders flooding in than she'd originally anticipated. I do believe that by routinely e-mailing Ms. März, a new Piquadro 3-Pen Leather Case will soon be yours ... and I mean in the very near future.

I'm sorry to hear of this. I still can't help but think she was referring to her current inventory status ... and not issuing a defacto statement that she'll no longer be stocking Piquadro 3-pen cases.

 

There is a language barrier. In the initial e-mail from Ms. März, I made an incorrect assumption regarding a shipping matter based entirely upon misconstrued terminology. A follow-up e-mail query to her was immediately answered and served to quickly remedy my confusion. :embarrassed_smile:

 

In other words, if you haven't already done so, it might prove beneficial to e-mail her and ask if she will be getting more Piquadro 3-Pen Cases in the near future. I'd further ask if she would kindly place an order for you (again, if you haven't already done so.).

 

With any luck at all, your acquisition of a Piquadro 3-Pen Adjustable Leather Case will be just a matter of time ... and not at all a question of "IF" ...!!!
