Just picked up this Waterman Ideal Jr. from a local antique shop today. It has a lot of line variation, but I'm wondering if it can be deemed "vintage full flex". I don't know a whole lot about the pen and I was wondering if any of you have any useful information about it (namely when it's from perhaps and how to disassemble it). Thanks! FPN isn't allowing me to upload photos, so here is a link to the Google Drive folder containing the photos. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5zYIJvn6F81fkZ0UWJVMkg4NzFXMUo2U0RLaWg0Tmt3SVp0S2hyMVdmY1hNX3NLTUtkdFE&authuser=0

Hi, I purchased a new Waterman pen, pictured below, in 1993. The book that came with it has "Waterman Ideal" on the cover. Is that the model of the pen? I can't find any markings inside or outside the pen that would identify it's make or model. Many years ago some ink dried on the left side of the gold plated nib. When wiping it off, some of the gold plating came off. Is there anyway to repair or replace this nib? I've googled around and haven't found anything definitive. Any help or advice is apreciated. Thanks, Kent

Hi all, I've recently purchased what I believe to be a Waterman Ideal Fountain Pen No.72 (as this is what it says on the end of the pen). However when doing a little bit of research this pen is an eyedropper. As per https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/166965-waterman-72-12-bhr-eyedropper/ On the barrel of my pen is written: PAT D.1884 May 23,1899 Waterman's Ideal Fountain Pen Penny USA Aug 4-19 (and then it's either 03 or 23 as it's worn away). I ran it under the cold tap to wash off the dry ink and it's working like a charm. The problem I'm having is unscrewing the base, as I'm assuming I will need to to refill the ink. It looks like it's not meant to unscrew and certainty doesn't want to if it is. Is there a model 72 which is a dip pen...and if not is there a way to loosen it up a bit to manage to unscrew it? I've uploaded a few pictures; however my camera's not great. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
