Sorry the photo is a bit blurry, I had a hard time getting an up close picture. Hopefully the pockets and scratches show in the picture. It almost looks as though some ink has eaten away at the feed. Has anyone else seen this in their Vanishing Points? I do use Noodler's Dark Matter regularly in this pen, but I don't think I've heard of that ink being corrosive. Could it be the trap door just scratching he feed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking of buying a Pilot Capless. However, I haven't seens a reliable comparison of the line widths. I have heard that the medium nib is like a European medium, but it varies quite a lot from pen to pen. Is this still the case. I have also heard that the fine nib is like a Japanese fine. This makes me consider the fine-medium nib, however it only come in one finish and is nearly twice the price of the standard finishes. I know it's quite a lot to ask, but... Does anyone have a comparison that shows the line widths? Preferably compared with Custom 74 medium and Metropolitan medium and fine. My Custom 74 medium is really nice, but I wish it put down a slight thinner line, more like my Metropolitan medium.

A new Robert Mason Co. opened up here in town today. They had a Vanishing Point out for trial, so I had to try it. I really didn't think it could possibly be comfortable with the clip where it is, but wow, I was wrong. And the nib was surprisingly flexy (he had the broad out). *sigh* My poor wallet. Haven't got one yet, but it's on the list. Along with several other pens, and the Great Wall of Ink. I didn't need an enabler!!!
