Hi everyone! I bought this TWSBI Vac Mini back in November of 2021 (so almost exactly a year ago). Its had 3 different inks in it (Monteverde California Teal, Noodler’s Black Eel, and Noodler’s Cactus Fruit Eel) and every single ink has leaked into the end cap knob at the end of the pen (I don’t know the official name for this piece). The Monteverde ink was the first ink I ever used and that’s when the whole issue started. Is this normal? If so how can I clean the old ink out and prevent this in the future? Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I’ve looked online for help and can’t seem to find anything for this specific issue. I have used silicone grease to help seal up any threads and lubricant the o-rings but that doesn’t seem like it helped. I contacted the company where I bought it from and they said it seemed like a manufacturer issue and to email TWSBI but then I emailed TWSBI and they said this was normal. For a $65 pen, this is really irritating to me because aesthetically it looks horrible and I’m afraid it could damage the metal inside the piece as well in the long run. If I can get ideas how to fix this or a potential solution I would be elated. I really do like this pen and love the 2 Ecos I have as well. I was wanting the TWSBI Vac Iris but I sure don’t want to pay $80-$85 for a pen and it do the same thing this one is doing. This doesn’t affect the performance of the pen, but I’m particular about keeping my pens clean and this drives me insane! 😅 I have 2 other vacuum fillers but the end cap knobs are opaque so I don’t know if this is just a common issue with vac fillers. Thanks in advance!

Want To Buy- New Here Not Allowed To Post Classifieds
klobdob posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
Hello All, I am new to FPN. I am looking to buy two specific fountain pens. I tried to post to the "Want to Buy" classifieds but apparently I am not allowed. I am looking to buy: EDIT and EDIT If anyone has either of these for sale let me know. Thanks! -
I'm about to complete my first semester of second year at University, and I'm going to buy myself a pen and some ink as a reward. I was strongly considering the TWISBI Vac 700 but apparently a few people have had problems with those, so... Here are my 'wants': Capable of taking a Goulet #6 nib, as I have one in a misbehaving Ahab that I'd like to swap into a better penCapable of filling from a bottleNot too heavy (Faber-Castell Basic weight or less)Nice grip section, not too slipperyCapable of postingAny suggestions?

Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000167 EndHTML:0000001910 StartFragment:0000000457 EndFragment:0000001894 Recently I got the TWISBI 580 diamond this pen is a very good pen, the TWISBI flows over the paper like butter leaving one of the most smooth writing experiences i've ever had with a pen a close second behind my m200. For the overall writing experience, 9 out of 10. The TWISBI'S box is the coolest one i've ever had a pen delivered in, it is almost like its own little display case. For appearance on arrival, 10 out of 10. The TWISBI is a very modern, cool looking pen, as you can see the ink moving throughout the ink sac. I also LOVE the TWISBI symbol on the cap, but there is one major problem, the cap cannot be posted, personally that is a HUGE problem for me, so the pen itself is not all that greatly balanced. for overall appearance 7 out of 10 For the cost of the pen, it is a great buy you can buy one new for only 50$, which is a very fair price for this pen,for cost, 9 out of 10. The filling mechanism on this pen is great, piston fill, which works out to make it look much cooler with the ink just resting in the ink sac, for filling, 9 out of 10. For the overall experience of the pen, 44 out of 50, a great grade for a great pen
