2025 Planners - Hobonichi Previews and More! Let's talk about it!
j.aimi posted a topic in Paper and Pen Paraphernalia
Planners and paper are my original love, because without them there is nothing to write on with my pens. 😉 Planner season is hot on our heels at the moment. Midori planners are announced, and Hobonichi is doing their August stadium previews with September 1 orders coming up. I have used...- 4 replies

Rest In Peace Tomoe River :’(
collectorofmanythings posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
I am so late to this news.. but I just heard about the death of probably the best fountain pen paper ever made. Does anyone have a suggestion for a paper that shows the amount of shading, shimmer, and sheen as Tomoe? Also do you think there is a possibility of them being it back?...- 80 replies

I made a political diagram using dip pens and inks on a single delicate sheet of Tomoe River Paper. Check out how small my drawings are! This page shows them off here (and explains the diagram!). For more pics, and to read the article, go to https://medium.com/@even.aesphasian/3...

I am a big fan of Tomoe River Paper 52 gsm. I honestly haven't tried 68 gsm because I stocked up on 52 gsm. I didn't see a comparison thread yet so I thought I'd ask: Between 52 gsm and 68 gsm Tomoe River Paper, what is your preference and why? Or if you like both, why? Would like to hear...

I bought the beautiful montblanc notebook (#146). The cover is so luxurious that it'd be a waste to discard it once the notes are done .. Is there a way to repurpose the notebook with Tomoe river paper? I.e. purchase blank/lined TRP and bind the montblanc notebook with it?

What I would really like is Tomoe River A4 signatures to make book blocks. I have been unable to find such a thing, or anything comparable. I've taken on a project of writing the Bible by hand using a fountain pen. I need the paper to lie flat while I'm writing, but eventually I would like to have i...

I recently had a strange experience with a Bungbox ink - Oranges of Lake Hamana. I really like this ink, in fact it is one of my all time favourites. It doesn't have any sheen, but the shading and the colour really hit the spot for me. It usually has a real 'liveliness' on the page. However, when I...

I picked up a Seven Season Writer A5 Journal this week (4th edition). It arrived surprisingly quick and well-packaged. It looks absolutely amazing as I paged through it and I can't wait to begin using it but I promised myself I'd finish off my current journal before beginning a new one. But, I g...
