I was really excited when I saw this pen up for auction. It was a Stipula Etruria with a 1.1mm stub in a celluloid material I had seen in several other pens but did not own. The pen had unique, attractive hardware. Last but not least, I had the impression it was a new release; I had not previously heard of or seen photos of this model. That was taken to be wonderful news - that Stipula was again creating new models after their apparent near death experience of a few years ago. Well, the good news is I am delighted with the pen. It writes a smooth, reasonably crisp italic. I find its hardware unconventional yet very tasteful. The less good news is that I have found this model was actually released in 2007. Mine is 095 of 193 and is NOS. I have found no previous reviews of this model, although discussions of Etruria models conducted on FPN in 2008-2010 show awareness of it. I have also failed to find photos of this model on the Internet, other than those from the auction I won. So, for your interest, here are a few photos of my new Etruria. This model is a medium-sized Etruria. It is a C/C filler. As far as I can determine, although this red with green and clear inclusions celluloid was also used in the Etruria Volterra model, which had the more usual Etruria clip and cap band, the Leon Battista Alberti model came in one size and only as a C/C filler. If any one has additional information about this pen, I would appreciate having it. David
